great job Casey you are a real sportsman who gives everything you have for the sport.
i salute you for riding in the condition your in...
But after seeing the pace the two Yamaha's did i don't think you really had a chance to win anyway.
get well and fit soon
all the best.

I think it's all in his head. The Ducati is no longer the best bike and he is now not seen as the second best rider to Rossi. He'll have had some sports pshycologist bigging him up for the past few seasons and putting preasure in him to be at the front and he either can't hack not winning or there is a ridiculus amount of self imposed stress involved. Certainly sounds more mental than physical.

Hang in there Casey in spite of the knockers, it reminds me of when Barry Sheene was sick after South America when he was battling Kenny Roberts and many said it was all in his mind. Come back and prove them wrong. Mel

CS's illness may be caused by mental stress or something entirely different (biological). On the other hand I don't recall any incidents like he is displaying, throughout the 2008 season.
If he had a mental weakness in his game, it certainly would have been evident in the season where he LOST his World Championship. There were multiple instances in 2008 where Rossi got in Stoner's head and caused him to make mistakes, Laguna being a good example. But never did he show signs of chronic fatigue, cramps etc.

Here's to a great and safe race weekend.

Andrewm, that is probably the dumbest comment I can think of. The Ducati has never been the best bike. If it was then riders like Capirossi, Melandri, Haydem would be at the front. Both MotoGP commentators said that Casey was the only one who had the pace to run with Rossi at Assen. He would be elbow to elbow with Rossi and Jorge if he was 100%.
