That's what I like about these guys -- hardly a wimp amongst them. Stoner rides obviously sick, Pedrosa and Lorenzo ride broken bones and all. Rossi is an iron man when injured too, but is good enough to keep from injury more than most. And they are not the only ones (look at that die-hard Hopper), and they are not the first, its been like this for 50 years. All motorcycle roadracing is full of stories like this. This is one tough bunch -- not like those car guys -- at least of late (except maybe the rally types). My hat's off to all these motorcycle roadracers.

MOTOGP » Lorenzo victory chance lost in Rossi attack

MotoGP season and already the 22-year-old has built up a fearsome reputation for overcoming painful injuries, but Sunday’s third place at Laguna Seca was arguably his best yet under such circumstances.

Good God, Yamaha! We like a good race of course, but we like to see our riders finish without harm better. Or do you wait until an incident like Hayden-Pedrosa 2006. Team order please!!!

For the fans and the show:
Vale-always delivers
Lorenzo-THE FASTEST AND TOUGHEST on this weekend
Petro-on form, perfect race on his part
Stoner-did his best in qual, prac & the race
Haden-best Duc finish, deep committment and abilty
Edwards-good points finish, I'm sure he wanted more

Lorenzo has to get 1st place award for sucking it up and performing the way he did and 2nd would go to Stoner. Sorry to see so many falls this weekend but JT there's NO honor in what you did for the fans and your team. The tuner for a rider that'll ride sick or injured will never question his personal sacrifice because he knows his rider will always give 110%. Wonder what your guys are feeling?

I like all forms of racing but motorcycle racing is absolutely the best.
Which makes me ask why is the F1 spread on the top of this site?

Anyway, ... it was thrilling to see Lorenzo ride today. I really like this kid's grit. Just amazing.

great ride from lorenzo but unfortunately he is beginning to think more of beating Rossi than concentrating on the championship. This ofcourse will play into rossis hands because the more lorenzo pushes, the more he is likely to crash....

It was a brave but stupid move from Lorenzo. He was to far away from Rossi so he never could make that turn. He should wait 1-2 laps.

Nevertheless, awesome perfomance from Lorenzo.

Lorenzo is quick, but he does not have the brains to beat Rossi, one of the many things that distinguishes Valentino from the ordinary is his ability to think, while racing.

A real shame we did not see Pedrobot getting beaten at the last corner Barcelona Style, he was just feet away from snatching a humiliating defeat from victory. The race was a slow burner, the last laps amazing, I thought we wwere going to see Rossi doing the impossible, again.

Can't believe someone just asked for team orders! thats F1 and WTCC stuff, these boys can ride and think for themselves. They know when to be smart and when to race. The guys are very close at the top of the champs less than halfway through the season!

I think Jorge was close enough to make a move, and with 5 to go he needed a make or break move to pass Vale if he had any hope of catching Pedrosa. He was a similar distance back from Stoner and passed him ok there. It was probably Lorenzo's strongest point on the circuit. Fair play to him to him for having a crack at it.

With regard to riders riding injured lets not forget Melandri! and the fact that Clinica Mobile do a great job!
