That's what I like about these guys -- hardly a wimp amongst them. Stoner rides obviously sick, Pedrosa and Lorenzo ride broken bones and all. Rossi is an iron man when injured too, but is good enough to keep from injury more than most. And they are not the only ones (look at that die-hard Hopper), and they are not the first, its been like this for 50 years. All motorcycle roadracing is full of stories like this. This is one tough bunch -- not like those car guys -- at least of late (except maybe the rally types). My hat's off to all these motorcycle roadracers.

MOTOGP » Lorenzo victory chance lost in Rossi attack

MotoGP season and already the 22-year-old has built up a fearsome reputation for overcoming painful injuries, but Sunday’s third place at Laguna Seca was arguably his best yet under such circumstances.

I agree with some of the posts, JL will be champion one day and he may not have to wait until Vale retires. He if far tougher mentally that any of Rossi's other chalengers and will pose a real threat this year.I think he could have timed his move on Rossi better because i think he was faster but as a Rossi fan i glad he didnt. The thing that impresses me is he learns from his mistakes and gets better every race. I think JL will keep Rossi in Moto GP for many more years to come. If JL goes to Honda he is doing it for the money and will regret it. The Yamaha is better and Yamaha have Rossi to develop it he needs to beat Rossi on equal machinery before moving.

YESSSS to team orders!!! :p

Yamaha should have ordered Rossi outta the way, his younger rival and team mate was definately faster than him with a dislocated shoulder and injured ankle. :D

I've been a Rossi fan for ever but why tell the faster guy to slow down?
Why not let him catch DP and embarrass him too? :)

Props to Pedrosa BTW. I'm not his fan but today he did what he had to do and capitalized when the faster ones were hurt and the WC had "setting" problems.

I totally belived that Vale was gona run away and hide... but a gr8 ride from dani proved y we love this sport. I wasnt a JL fan, his attitude wasnt backed up by results last year n the sucker helmet was doddgy... but the boys settling in and impressing more everytime... VALE is the GOAT... But its gr8 cing him with a new challanger making a name 4himself! Only compliant is y cant we have a gp every weekend :)

www.autosport.com says Yamaha boss will offer very low money to Lorenzo & says if lorenzo wants to go to Honda then they will not bid for Lorenzo.www.motogpmatters.com says Spice will surely get a factory ride when he wants.Lorenzo will go to Honda in 2010

That sums up Lorenzo..always a cocky overconfident guy. It works for him quite well..when he crashes it is always due to cold tires and such...gotta say, the kid believes his BS with iron clad belief. He actually believes a desperado pass on Rossi would work..hahaha...and even funnier..that he could have won the race... kid is so full of himself...

Lorenzo makes excuses when things dont go his way, he didnt look to injured when he was trying to make silly moves and nearly taking rossi out as well as himself, tryed to get all the sympathy and acting like a cry baby after the race. No-one can compare themselves to rossi his is a smooth rider and has the sence to know when to back off not like lorenzo or stoner, that last move rossi thought about on pedrosa he knew not to do it but if it was lorenzo or stoner they would of, they are dangerous riders and kids on bikes. they really need to get some skill behind them then maybe they would do better not just realy on speed and dodgy moves. Rossi is number 1 and always will be :)

I think the boy has the balls to be at the top,and he deserves it 100%.he has shown that he can ride (fully fit , or injured)better than most of the other guys on the grid.
I am a Rossi fan, simply because of his unique ability to always find something that makes him go better in the race.
That is also something that Lorenzo has, with the only difference being the lack of experience.
I believe Jorje will win the title before Vale retires. He's got the tools to do it.All he needs is to sort them out correctly.
