That's what I like about these guys -- hardly a wimp amongst them. Stoner rides obviously sick, Pedrosa and Lorenzo ride broken bones and all. Rossi is an iron man when injured too, but is good enough to keep from injury more than most. And they are not the only ones (look at that die-hard Hopper), and they are not the first, its been like this for 50 years. All motorcycle roadracing is full of stories like this. This is one tough bunch -- not like those car guys -- at least of late (except maybe the rally types). My hat's off to all these motorcycle roadracers.

MOTOGP » Lorenzo victory chance lost in Rossi attack

MotoGP season and already the 22-year-old has built up a fearsome reputation for overcoming painful injuries, but Sunday’s third place at Laguna Seca was arguably his best yet under such circumstances.

Jorge is quick and defo quicker than Rossi this weekend but so far this season he has only finished infront of Rossi twice once when Rossi fell off and both flag to flag, in normal conditions he has yet to beat him...

it wasnt that rossi wasnt as quick as lorenzo and pedrosa in the 4th section, its that he didnt want to push and take the chance of an off. with pedrosa he weighs very little so the bump in the corner doesnt affect his as much and lorenzo just pushes anyway. when rossi wanted to he could push the final section, and being that he was easily faster than everyone else in 2 other sections he tried to make up for it. if lorenzo would have made that attack stick rossi wouldnt have let him get around a lap without going right back in front anyway so...

To the blinkered people of this world, Lorenzo was a lot faster,Rossi new he was coming(7 laps to go) but couldn't do nowt about him,if he could have managed the speed of Lorenzo he would have caught and passed Dani.

Md Zane, if Lorenzo was alot faster surely he would have been infront of Rossi ? Playing catch-up may make you quicker than the rider in-front but winning a race requires race craft and not wild overtaking manoeuvers. 46

A bad start for Lorenzo was his problem,Talking of wild overtaking maneuvers that's Rossis speciality.

Lorenzo should have taken a racing lesson from Rossi. You know, the one where you make a last corner banzai dive, push the other rider into the gravel and take the position.

I'm sure all of the sheep would have thier heads explode if that happened. :-o
