Gregory House MD may ride a Repsol Replica Fireblade rather than a Ducati but I suggest Casey goes to Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital to have his mystery illness diagnosed. Can't wait to see the episode...

Remember Casey in qualifying, bang a few hot laps in, then go sit in the garage with feet up while the other played catchup, no more, he is now highsiding playing catchup himself. So I would say fatigue related symptoms is not his only problem.

Well, we don't really know if Stoner has EBV. But, he could and I'll share some more about my experiences. Some of them are similar to what we see with Stoner. This virus is widespread, but kept in check by the body. However, it sometimes breaks out if you are unfortunate. For many, high stress triggers the outbreak. Exposure to chlorinated hydrocarbons and other chemicals can weaken the body enough for the virus to break out. EBV can't be measured directly. Doctors look for antibodies formed in your blood to fight the virus. The quantity of antibodies can be used to determine what stage the virus is. The virus hits people with different severity. Many times, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) follows. This is an auto-immune problem. Severity varies and, as one of the guys said previously, the diagnosis is through elimination. There is no direct measurement. When I got all this BS, it was 20 years ago. Many people never heard of this stuff. Most doctors didn't know about it. Others didn't b

Could be a testosterone issue...I dont say that to make light of the situation, brother had low testosterone issue, was having severe problems with digestion, not able to sleep, extreme fatigue, strange reactions to all food, etc. One he was finally correctly diagnosed- after 7 months of doctors visits and checkups and misdiagnosis, started taking a testosterone shot every 3-4 months, it fixed every issue he had.

Con't - Other doctors didn't believe in either illness. Many told me there was nothing wrong with me. Stoner should do better because it is 20 years later. About halfway through my experience, I began forcing myself to play soccer and road race motorcycles. I was determined to be normal. This would leave me more tired and requiring more recovery time than other guys my age. Sometimes was cloudy headed and confused without exertion. The illness showed readily on the track. After a couple of laps, I slowed dramtically to rest. After some rest, I'd speed up. I had absolutely no reserve and could not retaliate when passed. Whether Stoner has EBV/CFS or not, if he is sick, it would explain why he can not retaliate. I am sure sheer will power propels him at times. He is a champion and will not give up easily. I was not a champion, but am a fighter. This plus the help of two good friends allowed me to race (poorly). The help from my good wife allowed me to have some positive professional achi

some professional achievement during the 16 years I had this stuff. In contrast, I know some people that were savagely ravaged by EBV/CFS. Therapy consisted of very clean living, rest, super vitamines, and some other things. When it was all over, I was my endocrine system was wrecked. One of the fellows mentioned possible hypothyroid for Stoner..My experience indicates this is possible. Wow and now 4 years of taking thyroid and testosterone and I am finally normal and enjoying life. I wish the same for Stoner and I hope the shared personal info enlightens our forum.

Sorry to hear about your illness Billie morini, but Casey Stoner is a man of many excuses and various sick problems when he cannot win. Please look at 2008 and currently 2009. While your illness was constant, Casey's is on Race weekend. Did you hear his scapoid is coming back. Be sure to hear he is now cured by our American doctors of this recent mysterious illness, and now milk the scapoid real good if he continues losing. Too bad Rossi turned him into a Biaggi type person as he cannot say that he was beaten by the better rider when he does not win, instead he resorts to malfunctioning equipment, bad setup, perfect pebble (sigh) and the list goes on. You see why we can't stand this guy.

On a serious note and assuming a worse case scenario this condition CS is suffering could mean the end of his two wheel career. Let's hope the condition is identified and can be treated in the short term. It does not matter what people think of CS but if he could not continue to race even for 2009 MotoGP would suffer a big loss.
