Kenlucky kid and Yank Spanker or whatever your name is. Are you guys by any chance French? Because you two sound like the same anti American haters that Lashed out at Lance Armstrong for so many years. Nicky Hayden is the greatest MotoGP racer of the 990cc MotoGP Era!!! :)

Live with it you constipated French ****s!

MOTOGP » Hayden: Home fifth as hard as a win

The US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was arguably a make or break moment for home star Nicky Hayden, who came into the event with a best finish of eighth from his first seven races as a factory Ducati rider.

Hayden did a very good qualifying, but has only really moved up 2 positions, having trouble holding off Elias on the horrible honda leased bike....

Goes to show how the electronics rule and how much about Hayden using less electronics, likes it"loose" & bla bla is utter BS.

The fact is Hayden has only won at LS and has not come close to wiffing the podium out of 12 riders... 5th is not a bad result, but...

The ring should be another "boost" as it is lefties..we shall see if LS was just a home result or not.I dont think Hayden will best a 5th for the rest of the season..more like 8th-10th,which was I predicted at the start of the season (never thought he would be running 12th)..

Credit to Hayden, he totally exceeded my expectations...but as the poet said 'one swallow does not make a summer' and as Kenlucky quite rightly points out maybe something similar at Indy then it's business as usual, ie. playing tail end Charlie.

On a positive note to my American buddy's, now I am no tennis fan but I was mightily impressed with Andy Roddick's performance at Wimbledon. The guy was immense, a true credit to his country. Hayden could learn a lot from this man. :)

Kenlucky kid, get your facts straight before you make claims. Nicky also won at Assen in 2006.

Assen 2006- Nicky makes move on Colin, then Colin stayed on the road just because the asphalted run-off area. So please tell me:
who the fu** had more luck in that race? Colin should be off a lap before and Nicky takes clear win. So gtfo.

Kenlucky Kid- tell me, whats the biggest achievement of your life?? Your parents buying You computer that allowes You trolling here?

"having trouble holding off Elias on the horrible honda leased bike.... "

Well, Elias gets factory support, and a factory Honda won, so it is neither a pure-customer/lease bike, nor horrible. But as the least objective person on the whole bloody site, I'd not expect anything more reasonable from you. What a ****er.

bukalaki you are so utterly clueless it is just plain pathetic. Edwards was leading and Hayden did a desperado pass on Edwards and went, of course wide..in fact OFF the track. Edwards seeing his first evar did a PS2 mistake cutting the corner so hard he ran into the grass and turning it in! Of course crashing into what is perhaps the biggest bonehead move EVER in GP racing history. While Hayden actually motored through the light gravel in the most comical style.

Aside from the fact, that out of LS Hayden NEVER EVER battled for the lead-before or after (or Edwards for that matter)- after all half field was injured.Watch it in youtube moroon.
