Kenlucky kid and Yank Spanker or whatever your name is. Are you guys by any chance French? Because you two sound like the same anti American haters that Lashed out at Lance Armstrong for so many years. Nicky Hayden is the greatest MotoGP racer of the 990cc MotoGP Era!!! :)

Live with it you constipated French ****s!

MOTOGP » Hayden: Home fifth as hard as a win

The US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was arguably a make or break moment for home star Nicky Hayden, who came into the event with a best finish of eighth from his first seven races as a factory Ducati rider.

And Sir Yank Spankington

coming from a country that hasn't even won a GP in 28 years, let a lone a title, you should be the last to have a go at Nicky.

shockjock

Elias has a lease bike and has no special factory support than what is usually given. Meaning he gets stuff a big later- as usual.

The "horrible Honda" is penned from Hayden and fans complaints...you know..it was built for pedrosa, that it sux and bla bla bla...

But the funny thing is that last year Rookie Dovi kicked Hayden's **** on the bike Hayden and fans said was a POS,while Hayden had not only the 08 factory bike, but also the sole pneumatic bike (basically ground up machine).

Still, nobody beats Hayden for luck..he could make more as pro gambler!!!

"while Hayden had not only the 08 factory bike, but also the sole pneumatic bike"

C'mon now Kenlucky

You know as well as I do that the pneumatic was a bike that wasn't even introduced until mid year and was under developed. Pedrosa wouldn't even race the thing or test it. And as bad as Hayden's year was last year he still finished 6th - not last like some would like for people to believe.

I watched the morning warmup from the bottom of the corkscrew and Hayden's bike was moving around a lot more than anyone else's there. I think he's having to try some strange suspension and tire settings to make the Duc work.

shockjock....Elias has darn-near full factory support. Also, he was running the new chassis this weekend, same as Pedrosa and Dovi. That's prob the reason he did so well...

By the way, the horrible, leased Honda Elias was riding, not only has the unrestricted, pneumatic-valved Works Motor, but Elias also received two (that's right two) brand spankin' new chassis that Dani and Dovi tested in Spain and used in Laguna. So, in a word, Elias has exactly the same bike as Dani and Dovi. The deviations in speed and time between Elias and the Works team really is down to the rider and set up. Also, Elias opted to use the softer of the two compounds on both front and rear. Only he and DeAngelis went with that combination. Hayden finished as the first rider using the softer front tire (he used the harder rear tire).

"Aside from the fact, that out of LS Hayden NEVER EVER battled for the lead-before or after (or Edwards for that matter)- after all half field was injured.Watch it in youtube moroon.

Dumb post of the week nominee right here. One should never post their ignorance on public forums and label them as facts. Hayden fought Rossi for the lead repeatedly in 2006, plus a few times in 2005. He lost, but at least he was there. There were final lap attacks like in Losail and others.

Some folks will hate for the sake of hatred. I really can't think of a single reason for the hayden hate. Not one. But it's here.

Listen up you cholesterol belt-busting Hayden fan boys. I wouldn't be too upbeat about ol Kentucky repeating his average 5th place performance. Seams like the only time that he can get a result is when half the field crashes out or are injured, deja vu 2006. Well Malandri finished 5th in China last year and actually managed to beat Stoner and it didn't exactly kick start his season! My prediction for Germany is Haydonk back in 13th. FFS Ducati, give the bike to someone who can actually ride the damn thing! :) :) :)
