Kenlucky kid and Yank Spanker or whatever your name is. Are you guys by any chance French? Because you two sound like the same anti American haters that Lashed out at Lance Armstrong for so many years. Nicky Hayden is the greatest MotoGP racer of the 990cc MotoGP Era!!! :)

Live with it you constipated French ****s!

MOTOGP » Hayden: Home fifth as hard as a win

The US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was arguably a make or break moment for home star Nicky Hayden, who came into the event with a best finish of eighth from his first seven races as a factory Ducati rider.

Kenlucky, you seem to have a strange obsession with Hayden. Very strange. You also seem to completely ignore anything that doesn't support your twisted reality. The troubles with Evo 06 RCV (known internally as the "lab bike") were widely reported. Pedrosa chose the modified 05 version himself. At the time he even remarked, along with Honda's test rider and R&D head, that he was surprised how fast Hayden was going on the Evo. The Evo version was almost a completely different bike. By the way, I've been pretty critical of Hayden in the past, so I'm no fanboy. Also, Elias has a full factory RCV. It was reported all over the place, even here. Seriously, find a hobby.

It's truly pathetic to see some things never change. Nicky gets a good result and the legions of anti-American, bile spewing rednecks come out in droves.
Just wait until Spies gets to MotoGP on a competitive bike. Then you'll have someone you can REALLY hate.
It's a shame you kids can't appreciate and respect riders other than your hero.

Being a Rossi fan I was never a supporter of Hayden for obvious reasons but have developed serious respect for the guy over the past few years.

The professionalism he showed throughout his problems with the little jockey bloke was impressive, top bloke

but lets be honest here, he is a world class rider no doubt but the change to 800cc and other chassis may now have highlighted his inability to adapt his riding style and that marks him out as a potential multi WSBK winner rather than a great prototype champ

I don't see this as knocking Hayden(was so happy to see him claim 5th at LS) just being realistic.

Great ride by nicky, confidence is a strange beast(I think it's stoners main problem at the moment), could well have a very good season from now, hope so..

Go Nicky, love to see him finish ahead of Stoner as it might make some of the new talent look again at riding a duke..

soops bill and others..

Regarding 06.Hayden being lead factory guy choose whatever he wanted.Pedrosa did exactly what Rossi did his rookie season,& that was to ride the previous year bike. www.crash.net/MotoGP/news/77080/1/news.html Was typical of preseason. The EVO bike was built as the ultimate bike.A V5 has NOTHING in comon with a V4 anymore that it does with I4.Even if "800 testbed" theories were true,it up to the lead rider to develop the new machine-as Rossi did in 04 with Yamaha (trying 3 engine configs, chassis etc).

The only problem the bike had was "my clutchy gets hottie".The bike had no chatter problems or anything.Just that Hayden wanted it(as most racers do)perfect.

regarding 06 part deux

However, a tire change by mich come Jerez damaged the Yamaha in a big way.HUGE chattering occured (far worse than with Honda in 05).Up to 7 chassis were tried and tested, along with numerous swingarms. n sum,had Rossi been on the Hayden's Honda & Hayden on Rossi's Yamaha in 06 we would not be discussing this.End of story.

Fact is Hayden could have choosen the 05 bike anytime.Nobody forced him to ride it.He was not contractually obligated or nothing. He choose it because it was the best machine.Hayden got the hissy fit for the pneumatic engine despite objections of being "thirsty" Hayden got it(and ran out of fuel). The Hayden fanatic excuse generator is pathetic.

Soops

Regaring 07.True Rossi complained. But with good reason. The yamahadog was slow- but compared to the Ducati it was brutal. The tires after a few races became a big factor as Michelin dropped the ball time and time again. Stoner himself ridiculed Rossi & of course was unhappy Rossi would be B-stones for 08.

But the fact remained that again after a good start, michlin dropped the ball. Everybody on michlins were complaining and had Rossi been on michelins stoner would have easily run away with the WC & everybody would be now saying how great he is & how rossi is "finished".

This despite the Yamaha was still slower-although not as slow & unreliable as 07 or 06.
