Kenlucky kid and Yank Spanker or whatever your name is. Are you guys by any chance French? Because you two sound like the same anti American haters that Lashed out at Lance Armstrong for so many years. Nicky Hayden is the greatest MotoGP racer of the 990cc MotoGP Era!!! :)

Live with it you constipated French ****s!

MOTOGP » Hayden: Home fifth as hard as a win

The US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was arguably a make or break moment for home star Nicky Hayden, who came into the event with a best finish of eighth from his first seven races as a factory Ducati rider.

More regarding 06

From superbikeplanet "2006 has arrived, and the kid is rolling hot. Jerez was a great test, and Nicky passed with flying colors on a bike Honda is pinning its hopes on, for this season anyway"

But then, when golden boy was not doing too hot,on what was and is the best 990 EVER built...the excuse generator was on full tilt - aided by a whiny Hayden "my clutchy not workie the way i wanti"

Big thumbs up to Hayden. Great to see him up there and had Elias to contend with for the whole race which would make any racer nervous.

Hope its the start of something good.

I feel the urge to clear something up. Why would Ducati 'abandon' Stoners team mate (in reference to MM in '08)? F me, they'd reportedly just forked out almost 3 TIMES what they had renewed the then CURRENT world champions contract for, to get Melandri to ride for them!!!
It's karma for Ducati that Melandri failed, for undervaluing the bloke that delivered for them. Now, I'm not dillusional about Nicky's chances, but he makes Marco and the rest of the Eurobrats look like ego loaded, overrated, underachievers! You can't deny his ethic, and you can't deny his championship!

@ Kenlucky

Let me get this straight. When Rossi does bad because he's on a sh1t bike ('06), it's the bikes fault. When Hayden is on a sh1t bike ('07, '08), it's Hayden fault. That seems to be the boiled down essence of your argument.

Hayden isn't the greatest GP rider ever. Not even close. But you seem to have something personal against the guy. Let it go.

He may be lucky but luck is the result of hard work and in '06 his hard work payed of.

Spinmaster, that's what's so funny about the Hayden-haters and their stories. It's always a double-standard. Kenlucky, the article you posted only confirmed what everyone was saying regarding the Evo bike. In fact, it didn't help your argument because it was written well after Hayden was charged the development duties. Hayden is a company man. If Golden Boy doesn't want to develop the 06 bike, then NH will. Because he's loyal to the team. Here are some more articles...

Don't forget that for the last few races of 06, Hayden rode with injuries. Not a worthy champion? I can't see where that'd be the case.

But...Kenlucky Kid, you're such a fantastic analyst, maybe you should be the one riding the bike. After all, by the sounds of what you post, you could do so much better!

NOT!

@kenlucy

Are you that dense that you can't see that 98% of all respondents here disagree with your point of view? Is your life really so pathetic that you have to bash a rider that is working harder than just about anybody in the paddock and shows infinite professionalism?

I don't understand you but then ... I've never taken courses in abnormal pyschology.

I believe that I speak for many others here when I say ... PLEASE JUST GO AWAY!!!

I can understand why Nicky would never go to WSBK, as MotoGP is the creme de la creme, but I agree he would be more succesful there at this point. And I don't know about the rest of you, but I am a 'cholesterol gut busting American' that has about a 9% BMI, and most of my 'blokes' run Tri's and marathons, and we eat fruits and vegatables daily rather than gravy and fried fish? Things that make you go hmmmmm
