MOTOGP » Toseland black flag for missing 'harsh' penalty

James Toseland had a day to forget at Laguna Seca on Sunday, being black flagged on lap 11 after failing to serve a ride-through penalty for jumping the start.

@expert

"so disco, list who else doesn't deserve to be in MotoGP?"

I would really appreciate it if you cats stopped putting words in my mouth, or misquoting me. I at no time said he didn't deserve to be there, I just said he cant cut it.

He should go somewhere, where he can cut it before his confidence is ruined permanently and he becomes a back marker for the rest of his life.

As for who should go, I have a separate post for that. And I would appreciate some feedback especially from RawDawg.

Ok heres one for you...

Surprise of 2009 - de puniet.

Should he have been cut after last years results?

Look at him now.....ok not exactly knocking on the door of the championship but he was getting fairly poor result for the last 2 years and now only 3 points away from his total of last year. Improvment all round - because they had faith in him (or else he is just one lucky sod).

There has been some Toseland bashing going on in this post. I am sure it is the same people who bash Stoner, Edwards, Hayden, etc.

As an Aussie I will always support my fellow countrymen. It's good to see the Pom's sticking by their man and supporting JT. Keep it up guys. Same deal with the Septics, keep following Edwards and Hayden.

True fans in my opinion will always stick by their countrymen through thick and thin and don't jump on the bandwagon on whoever is winning.

It's good to see some loyality guys and gals, keep up the good work.

Good luck JT in whatever you do.

"Surprise of 2009 - de puniet."

I completely agree, and the bike he is riding isn't the best by any means.

I remember a few years ago when the Sat honda riders were challenging for wins. Sete was fast, Marco was runner up in the championship, what 2 times in a row? Now if you arn't on a factory bike you are left in the dust. I am really happy for him. Perhaps he will end up somewhere good but their are not that many good rides left to take.

Yeah de puniet is on a bit of a donkey which makes his first half of season a great one but I dont see Honda throwing parts at him so second half of season will see him slip back a bit which is a shame.Hopefully not but if he does he can always keep JT company :D :D

@pinatatimeagain

Here is my problem with that you said. Hayden is on a bike that has been proven difficult to ride. Unless your initials are CS you arnt going to get on with that bike. Just look at the history, Marco Meldri who is a 2 time runner up to the Championship was horrendous on the bike, on the Hayate which is undeveloped and he equaled his points haul of all of last season in half of this season. As for Colin Edwards, I think Yammi keeps him around for a specific reason. He IS the best Sat rider, He is continually the best non factory performer in every race (almost), and he spanks his teammate on the regular. I am sorry but I cant agree with you on any of what you said.
