Although all of us will miss the 250.. but this Moto2 is good and something different. I am not a Honda hater but I just hope there are 2 engine supplier, if not Yamaha, there is Suzuki and Kawasaki or even Ducati.. A single engine championship seems too plain.

thinks, this could see a migration away from motogp under the present financial conditions, further depleting the grid.

I could see Moto2 the template for MotoGP...common Yamaha 1000cc engine in the builders own frame for full grids with reduced cost.

I think this is a good template for MotoGP. If the manufactures don't want to supply additional bikes, make a rule stating that they have to sell or lease their engines at a set cost. This way hopefully teams can step up and design their own frames (or buy one from people like Harris or Kenny Roberts) and bikes like in Moto2. Something needs to be done to get more bikes on the grid.

if one-engine multi-chassis formula works well in formula ford, then why not in moto2?

the similarities are there - all handing purely down on mechanical grip by the chassis design with little aerodynamic assistance to ensure close racing. just too bad engine specialists cannot tune the engine (or maybe they can?)...

So are the riders queuing up on race day at Dorna office, please sir can I have an engine? To make sure they are all the same and no one has tinkered with with them over and above the engine spec like they always try to in the other one engine formula series notably formula ford (bad choice Zero Kun). Another Dorna disaster in the making no doubt. :?

I just don't understand the logic behind a single machine supplier? Is it to jack up the rider contribution to the race result, and less the motor?
