I want to see all of you macho, man-it-up types ride a GP bike competitively with even "mild" anemia.

"Anemia goes undetected in many people, and symptoms can be small and vague. The signs and symptoms can be related to the anaemia itself, or the underlying cause.

Most commonly, people with anemia report non-specific symptoms of a feeling of weakness, or fatigue, general malaise and sometimes poor concentration. They may also report shortness of breath, dyspnea, on exertion."

Why do some people hate Casey so much?! I may not support Pedrosa but i still feel sorry for him getting injured and wudnt claim hes faking it!! Anemia, no matter how "mild" causes tiredness and how the hell can you expect someone to ride a bike in such conditions like Laguna and not suffer if they arent at the peak of their fitness?!
Perhaps when Casey is 100% again and taking the fight to the Yamahas some people will shut up moaning and give the guy the credit he deserves. Or there again probably not. Get well soon

Pathetic....tummy ache and a low red cell count as a result. I do hope CS is not gonna shatter my belief that Aussies are as hard as nails....p.s. from someone who has experienced, first hand, proper, serious bad health......cancer. Melandri gets on a bike having experienced the most god awful injuries......and not just Marco! used to like CS. He definitely deserves the title 'moaner'. P.S. I don't give a toss what you lot think about this, I have had to get up for work...an incredibly physical job, despite conditions, over the last few years, 'cause I had to pay the bills!

the thing is, this guy rides for a factory team with all the back up that comes with it inc. doctors, fitness trainers and nutritionists so why has he developed anaemia, the gastritis i can accept is probably due to pill popping but if he really has anaemia then that is sloppy not only of him but also the team

@ moosh

I'm just saying give the lad a break to everyone moaning or saying he's putting it on. Casey is a well deserved Moto gp champion who in the last few GP's has been sick. The last thing you want to do when your that sick is ride like he has been doing and not a lot of people could do it. He may of said things in heat of moment a laguna last year to antaganise Rossi fans but at the end of the day he's a class act and Moto gp needs riders like Stoner who can give THE GOAT a run for his money. Like him or hate him but dont critise him coz he's doing an amazing job , as all the riders do when riding injured or sick .

"mild" maybe but I think any of us mere mortals would be floored by it. Lets hope he gets back to his best...if for no other reason than to make the championship more lively.
