Looks like the wind from the gastritis is propelling him along!
Seriously, maybe he will fade in the race, who knows. Or maybe all these "mild" "genuine medical problems" will magically resolve themselves if he gets a good result.
BTW Ducati might have commented on his illness, but he's the one who said on the BBC website that his ribs still ache...whatever.
It's fun to get all excited about the practice times but we all know it doesn't necessarily mean squat when you have got riders with better race craft out there.

Well done Casey and Well done crash for adding in that it was the Ducati team that stated what Casey's problem was, not him :)

I wouldn't get too excited by Stoners pace, I am pretty sure he will fade midway through the race. My guess is that he is trying to pick up as many points as possible in the next couple of races and then looking forward to the summer break for some relaxation/downtime. His illness needs a lot of resting but that could also be a negative, these guys train relentlessly and a month off physical duties could have a big impact on his fitness for the second half of the season.
Wishing him the best anyway and hoping he is 100% after the summer break..

Stoners results in the past few races have had nothing to do with racecraft, he's been competitive and then gotten MUCH slower as the race has gone on. Anyone who's actually watched GP for the last 5 years knows thats not Stoners normal MO.

I hope Casey doesn't fail any dope testing like Haga did and lose points now that he is getting treatment for his illness .

Hard to judge this session if wet and dry but still my big shout out is to De Puniet up there in top 4.

and JT in the bottom 4 How the F..K did that happen :? - Kidding.

Anyway qualifying be interesting tomorrow if weather is wet/dry with the flying laps starting early...good chance for deP to get 2nd row if the rains starts midway. :)
