Yeah who would want to ride it.

Speedtv.com motogpmatters.com both have been running articles about Dorna and IRTA agreeing to do engine leases from the manufactures for teams willing to build their own chassis a la Moto2. The Dorna proposal initially called for private teams to used modified production based 1000cc engines in custom chassis against the manufacturer's 800cc bikes. Last rumor is that the IRTA has agreed to lease factory 800cc engines to private teams (probably to give them below spec engines with 1000 less revs like Honda did it's satellite teams last year!). An official announcement is suppose to be made at Indy.

Good to see someone filling the slot vacated by the grupo Francisco Hernando outfit. Honestly though unless Ducati can figure something out the bike may be a hindrance for Bautista should he accept the ride. I still think Bautista and Spies are the two guys being seriously corted by all of the teams. Would be a shame to see either of them go to a team that was less than competitive. I would love to see someone go and make the Suzuki into a winning package.

The reason I brought this up is because I think it would be pretty funny if someone like Kenny Roberts or Harris built a chassis using a Ducati engine and it was a better bike than the Factory Duc!

You would think how strong the engine is that their will be people lining up at the door for them!

Well if they built the Chasis like what Jeremy Burgess did with the Yamaha they probably be more ridable instead of depending too much on the electronics to take off like they did in 2007.

Alas nobody talks about the Desmocidici anymore. They were huge fuel guzzlers. They got away with it in 2007 and now they can't.

IMO i dont think Kenny Roberts Chasis are that great. We will see in Moto 2 next year. His dependense on his sons riding the bike was a mistake. Yes he did win with KRJR once. He won 3 with Rainey I think.

Bautista shouldn't go on racing with Aspar in MotoGP unless he wants to shoot his career in the foot. He will only really get as good results as Mika Kallio has done, and they aren't that good. He would be better off racing for another team. If Bautista goes to a different team, I predict that Aspar's MotoGP rider will be somebody who hasn't got any other options left - Toseland or De Angelis possibly? Or more likely Elias, because he is Spanish like Aspar.

Don't understand why people are disagreeing with RawDawg - that story was published in this weeks MCN - carmelo Ezpeleta was interviewed and said the motors would have restrictors to make sure they didn't beat the factory bikes.

Kenny Roberts certainly did produce some fine handling chassis - don't forget jeremy McWilliams pole position at Phillip Island.

I'm looking forward to seeing his Moto 2 bike in action.

My guess is there will be a few riders willing to ride this machine. Those who look like being given the flick from GP might be interested, Tossland comes to mind.

Maybe Martinez will be looking to bring one of his younger riders through?
