Didn't something like this happen in Jerez?

Great pace in the practice and qualifying sessions, but then ended up binning it in the race cos he was pushing to hard?

For sure if the race is dry and Rossi beats Lorenzo he will be psychologically impacted for the rest of the season like Biagi and Gib

This kid is a lot stronger than you want to believe.

Biaggi and Gibernau were already going downhill anyways.

Lorenzo is just a baby. I'm not implying he'll equal Rossi's carrer but will for sure become world champion. Show me anyone in the paddock who has his cojones or who the 8 times WC himself has pointed as pushing him to his limit and a dangerous rival. Once he realizes that the championship through consistency is more important than winning every single race he'll be ok. Lorenzo is the only rider with a real possibility to take it to Rossi this year IMO.

The guy is incredibly fast, very talented and will be a world champion... however, I doubt he will be a world champ if he goes to Honda! Hes onto a winner at Yamaha, hopefully he stays there.

You know... I dunno about that. I would have agreed with you a couple of months ago, but Pedrosa (who is one of the best 4) is showing the Honda is pretty much up to speed. Jorge has the fight in him that Pedrosa hasn't. Don't get me wrong, Pedrosa is superfast, but always loses in a scrap. I reckon JL is more of a fighter... On Honda I think he will do well and won't be living in The Doctor's shadow... Go JL! (have just posted his appearance at Day Of Champions on YouTube - just search 2009 Donington Lorenzo)

@Paul 46!!! / Holes

Cannot help thinking that you are both absolutely RIGHT !!

It's obvious that both scenarios cannot materialize - Jorge is likely to rise to the top in either camp.

HONDA - Bigger pay-check, currently lesser bike that he would be under pressure to develop , DANI???

YAMAHA - Not bad money really !!, Best Bike, Best team-mate, better team culture (IMHO) - probably no better shadow than the Doctor's to develop in.

Big choices for Jorge !!! But he is unlikely to really shine until VR retires, no matter where he ends up !!

Me - I think he should stay where he is - but I could well be wrong based on the arguements posted by "Holes"

Did you see his times in the qualifying session? If he keeps that up in the race, will be the the winner.

I would like to see a swap between Dani and JL. Dani to Yamaha and JL to Honda. :)

B. Andy, Dani to Fiat Yamaha would be pretty cool. But remember, if he did, he would be the no. 2 rider. Now Dani might be okay with that, but can you imagine the havoc Alberto Puig would cause? He may have been able to make demands and bully Nicky Hayden, but it won't work against Rossi!

According to british eurosport commentary lorenzo is going to honda.. That was their inside info. He's clearly motivated by money.
