Saw in MCN two weeks ago he said the British fans wanted him dead, seemed like an odd thing to say although he's had some stick at Donnington.

Not sure what's going on with the guy, seems to have had a bit of meltdown, physical or otherwise.

Never seen anything like it.

No such illness, I know because I google the symptoms and found Stoner to be talking crap.

MY guess is he has had enough of the bias toward Rossi after the Ducati was knobed due to beating Rossi and Yamaha.

I think it's time that several of the major riders leave this so called sport and head to SBK where it is about the total package and not about knobing teams and riders for beating the DORNA GOAT.

I can believe this, more so after having seen firsthand English soccer hooligans creating mayhem in Europe. Bad sportsmanship is very typical of the Brits. It's a wonder they have any form of world sport in England after the way the fans carry on. I think most sportsman would prefer to go to Pakistan or India.

Sad for the championship that a leading front runner has pulled out.The top three for this race now seems to be a certainty rossi or lorenzo with pedrosa or dovi third.The championship next year needs to bring something new to an new excitment who wants to see say chris vermeulen ride around on edwards or toselands m1 and doing no better than them

@Dr Dray

Well I can't disagree with the football but comparing motorsport of any form of football is slightly depressing.

Having sat in the stands at Monza watching Italian fans throwing coins at F1 drivers in the gravel trap it's a bit of a sweeping statement matey.

Wonder if the new engine rule affected this decision to not contest this WC. Concentrate on getting fit for next year and getting more reliability from Duc engines instead.
Gutted by this news, thought he had come good watching his brilliant first half of German GP.
Get well soon Casey.

I don't think he'll be coming back this season. I woudln't, if I were him. Rest and get into form again. And I don't think he'll be at Ducati next year. Good for him, a change of scenery is almost always a positive driving force. Pull a Rossi and prove that the 2007 title wasn't just because of the obvious Ducati superiority.

Come the end of the season and I think certain gentlemen will take a little trip (180km or so) from Borgo Panigale to Urbino with a sack of money to offer a certain Mr. Rossi.
