Shame to hear this news - it will most definately dilute what could well have been a closer finish to the season.

Hope Casey recovers from this, and pray that this is not a precursor to even worse news, regarding his health.

The sport needs this guy badly !!!

Michel Fabrizio is unlikely to shine immediately ( if at all) as a replacement in the Pramac team , and I cannot help thinking he would be better placed in WSBK as a means to help Nitro fend off Spies.

Second best or not , WSBK is still an IMPORTANT world series and one that Ducati should make every effort to secure IMHO

Sorry to hear this news, and I'm a Rossi fan. But better to take a few more weeks off and see what this whole thing is about than keep riding and not get better.
Nice to see Kallio move up, someone had to take that seat. But he ain't replacing Hayden no matter what. Why? The Ducati 848 Hayden special is selling out in the US. How many bikes will Kallio sell? Not that many. MotoGP is about selling bikes. It's why Rossi is worth what he gets to Yamaha.

Having been at Sachsenring and talking to the German fans they like many British fans think it is more a stress or mental related problem.
The fans in Germany were trying to show their appreciation for the man, but he just rode past with his wife not offering the fans a smile. These people too will turn eventually.
I do not wish him any harm, :? but he has hiself to blame totally.

Sorry to hear this news. A shame for Casey and Ducati. At least people will no longer say he is faking it. Somebody earlier said it was silly to put Fabrizio on the Pramac bike, because the third race that Casey is away clashes with WSBK. It didn't say Fabrizio would be on the bike for that race though.

A few points... 1. Having the Team A mechanics and crew will certainly help Kallio. They're on the factory team for a reason. If Kallio can't consistently crack the top 8 with the factory team, it doesn't look good on him. And, they all speak English. 2. Stoner potentially had EBV or Epstein Barr which can cause some forms of cancer in rare cases. 3. As far as Hayden on the factory team, Suppo made it clear in an interview last week that it was Hayden's choice. Even though they have the option of extending his contract 1-year, Suppo said that it's NH decision to stay with the team.
