mike H - making excuses? The gresini team has generally gotten one "factory" spec bike for the past few years, back since 2003 - maybe earlier. Melandri was asked about it and he said it's his understanding that Simoncelli will get it.

I don't see any excuses. :? :? :?
-----------------
“For sure Simoncelli has the HRC bike so he will be the number one rider, but I just want to do my best and see what's going on,” said Melandri.

This is a great summary of the situation so far. Thanks very much! It would be fantastic if you could periodically update it until everything is resolved for 2010, maybe weekly or after each race.

Great job!

I can't help looking at the tech 3 choices and apart from Spies, thinking big deal.. this is a top ride and yet the riders are all journeyman... there has to be a surprise or two surely??

Lorenzo has the best bike, and is in the best team. If he leaves it'll only be for the money. He's got equal machinery to challenge rossi. I don't like it, we all want big pay packets but this is sending out the message that he values money more than success.
