WOW, this has to be covered on TV and if they don't then they are ignoring the very essence of the elite championship.
Only the masters could get near wringing 100% out of these fire breathing bone breakers.
Pure evil beasts but what a sight to behold watching these masters tame them, getting sideways smoking out of corners and the latest of late braking and the crack of the exhaust pipes on full chat
i can almost smell the fumes thinking about it and the sound of a 2 stoke on the pipe

@ Damien IE
Amen to that.
Those 500 two-strokes were the most awesome race bike ever! The sound of a YZR500, RGV500, NSR500 at full RPM was the most awesome thing you could ever hear.
Now the 250s have taken this mantle, only for them to disappear next year! Sad.

IT WILL BE GREAT TO SEE AND HEAR SCHWANTZ RIDE THE 2 STROKE AGAIN! I UNDERSTAND KENNY ROBERTS SENIOR IS GOING TO RIDE THE INFAMOUS TZ 750 YAMAHA DIRT TRACKER AT THE INDY MILE THIS WEEKEND!! THIS IS THE BIKE HE WON THE 1975 INDY MILE ON, HITTING 150 MPH ON THE STRAIGHTS! INCREDIBLE! INSANE! I HOPE SOMEONE WILL CAPTURE THESE MOMENTS AND PUT THEM ON YOU TUBE.

Just thinking about it is awesome.

I remember a Robert Duval line in the movie Apocolypse Now...Where he says the smell of napolm smells like victory.

To me...There is nothing like the smell of bean oil in the morning...Smells like racing to me boyzzz !!!!!!

I used to be a H-2 Kawasaki fanatic...Those old triples sounded awesome.

But make no mistake...In my mind those old 500's are in a leauge of their own.

:p
