Capirossi being the best ambassador to Ducati isn't really that weird. He's been their longest serving MotoGP rider, having developed and raced the original Desmo when every other teammate he's had before Casey Stoner kind of came and went (Bayliss aside from his 2006 win, Checa, and Gibernau). 7 wins and 23 podiums, finishing 4th in Ducati's first year back and a serious title contender in 2006, you bet Ducati will celebrate him even if he never won a title for them.

It will be fun to see if these 250 rivals can shake things up next year. If Loris and Alvaro get a bike with better power next year, the championship will take on a whole new dimension, even if Suzuki doesn't contend.

Really good to see that Loris has another year in MotoGP, I was a bit worried about his future at one point.

Ducati were daft to let him go but I get the feeling that they didn't value his 'technical input' to make the Duke better. If he had stayed and they had listened to him maybe there would be more than just Stoner winning on it.

Loris stays on for another year and a new team-mate in Bautista even with a new team member Suzuki will stay where they currently are keep saying new parts, new chassis but does anything not really.

Chris taking Suzuki's first four-stroke grand prix win at Le Mans can also be read as taking Suzuki's ONLY four-stroke grand prix win...
They have to make bigger steps or they'll always be second group contenders.

The first thing to do would be to sign either Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa or Lorenzo.
Now they will enter another season of mediocrity.
