An open letter to Nicky Hayden:

I was wrong about you being just lucky. You are a true champion and have worked through the Ducati situation better than any other MotoGP rider other than Casey Stoner. Your enthusiasm for the sport has garnered new fans in the Colonies and sold many products for the sponsors of the sport I love. Your podium finish today was not predicted or expected by me.

Let me offer you my congratulations on a job well done.

Sincerely,
The Kenlucky Kid

Well done Nicky!!! Hard fought win and improvements on this difficult to crack Duc. Stay humble with your work ethic things will continue to improve.
DUCATI- Make the right decision, this is not an Yamaha M1, keep Nicky around for more than a year, and give success a chance- Clear improvements are being made.

Always a pleasure to read or listen to his comments. Never hurts to know how to ride and also how to talk after it.

Where are all the smarty pants who said no one was showing up for this GP...

75,000 for a motorcycle race in the USA is pretty amazing....

OK Ducati. Blah, Blah, Blah.

Enough already, how about doing the right thing and extending Hayden's services for at least another year?

Nicky once again shows he's a class act. Now it's time for Ducati to step up and extend his contract. Way to go Nicky!

I've been watching this site for years and never commented - but did Kenlucky Kid actually congratulate Nicky or am I missing some sofisticated sarcasm.

Either way that was an exceptional ride by a guy who may not be as talented as Vale, Jorge and Dani but loves the sport and lays it all on the line. As fans we should be glad we get to watch riders perform as hard as this.
