EatMyDust? You need to a bit quicker for that. It's funny you say Rossi gets 'special equipment.' He developed the bloody bike, you *****. Lorenzo's success is in large part due to the brilliant motorcycle developed by Rossi and Burgess. When Rossi got to Yamaha, the bike was crap. He, his crew chief and Yamaha engineers have beat Honda at their own game and it was Rossi that drove them and inspired them to do the job. I'm not a fan of any one racer. I'm a bike racing fan and you have to give credit where credit is due. The man is 8 time world champion. If you think that's a fluke, then you're a bigger idiot that anyone thought.

In full agreement with Baz....without the Rossi developed Yamaha would Lorenzo be where he is (in the championship race)?

And the momentum is not back with Lorenzo now..he finished his only race in the last three, and lets face it, had Vale (G.O.A.T) not crashed out, Lorenzo could have only finished 2nd..

There is no pressure for Vale to win at Misano. He most likely will win, as he's near home and wants to give the fans a show, but because he knows he is the best and will want to show all the Rossi fans (and haters), that it takes more than a 20 something year old Spaniard to win a couple of races to stop the Legend taking another succesful championship...

You mean like how Rossi fell to the pressure at Donington and now Indy? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I'm not so sure about "Hammering".
I think that:
1)The race at Indy shows just how unpredictable race results can be.
2)Dani tried too hard and fell, luckily able to rejoin and salvage some points.
3)Rossi tried too hard and fell, loosing 25 points. 4)Lorenzo is on fire.
5)when/if Casey returns he will really mess things up...in a good way.

I think Lorenzo could surprise everybody this weekend. he won there in 2007 and last year was extremely competitive wearing those michelin tyres.
The only thing we know for sure is that J Lo is gonna push very hard till the very end of the season and Rossi won't think about the points and will fight to win, as always.
Good fun

John, Lorenzo tried to beat Rossi using the sit back and attack at the end of the race but Rossi beat him anyway. No one is in Rossi's head but himself but I do agree that Rossi can be his own worst enemy by always pushing for the win but that's why the fans like about him. That said, Rossi needs to be on his game for the remainder of the season and needs to ride smart to maintain the lead and win the championship.

lorenzo fell at donington too idiots. except he didnt continue and pick up points. thinking he has the momentum because he won at a stupid american infield track is lol. catalunya, assen, sachsenring, remember those races! lorenzo is on rossi's bike and thats the reason he is close. also he rides over the limit almost all the time, because he is an excellent rider and he is on the yam he holds it together most of the time. but he also goes down a bit. he cant beat rossi on the brakes. i have only seen his pass rossi at the end of straights, with a few exceptions. bottom line is he is not the next anybody but lorenzo. he is just lorenzo. when rossi leaves motogp it will be over.

Bob B, while I agree that the GOAT is under pressure and on equal machinary he will fail yet again just like against Nicky and Stoner. DORNA have made changes to the series, tires, electronics, engines to suit it's GOAT, so he will be ok for the next race and the sheep fans will keep flocking through the gates.

I am also wondering if the wall will be pulled down for a few minutes and MAP setting will be changed on Jorge's bike.

Seems to me the GOAT's garage is like area 51, a no go area for anyone except the GOAT and his chums. Yet the GOAT and chums still have access to others areas. :-o

How many crashes it is for Rossi this year?

3 or 4?

I wonder if Rossi will get tagged with the crasher title now or is that reserved for anyone who takes the challenge to Rossi and is branded from the blinkered fanboys?

Really one has to wonder with the amount of crashes this year from Rossi, if he does win the series if it makes him a worthy champion?

My view and I think many of the NON ROSSI groupies will agree and will say NO.

Talking of premier class championship you really have to wonder how many he is really worthy of with special tires, the best traction control system prior to ducati, best engineering staff. Not really G.O.A.T material hey?
