Could be a save for De'Angelis or possibly Elias.
JT's manager spoke about a new team arriving so maybe a save for JT?

Anyway the more bikes the better.

Whilst I am pleased to see a true privateer team coming back to the premier class, the 3 cylinder, lighter higher-corner-speed route has been tried before and it doesnt work. Like those who have done it before, they will be aiming for top ten at best.
Better off leasing a four cylinder engine when they become available in '10 or '11, or build one themselves.

MotoGP needs more bikes, and I wish them well, but their 'pioneering' approach is reminiscent of Ilmor's attempt to revolutionize MotoGP by using F1 engine technology. And we all know how that turned out.

In fact after their departure Mario Illien pinpointed the attempt to base a MotoGP engine around F1 principals (pneumatic valves etc) as one of the key factors in their lack of performance (which lead to a lack of funds). He said it just didn't translate over the way they expected. On paper it looks like it could, but just didn't.

I like innovation though, and I'd like to see them succeed. Problem is, the current teams aren't dumb or broke. If it worked better, they'd be doing it.

JT is currently running mid/back of of the pack. WIth a private team and undeveloped engine, he could well be at the back of the pack every race :o(

Let's see, an obscure team whose track record consists of a participation on WSBK, racing a half finished project from a manufacturer that decided to scrap MotoGP and go race WSBK instead... Yeah, this is going to go really well!

MotoGP needs new teams fast, but not also rans. The back of the grid is filled with mediocre bikes/teams/pilots already.

Filling up the grid just for the sake of having more bikes is not the way to go.

Quality before quantity.
