So people are completely missing the point, that it was a chain reaction crash?

Lorenzo went wide and slow, edwards being the 'team' player he is, didn't wanna take lorenzo out, jumped on the breaks and left de angelis with no where to go..

As for hayden's reaction to the crash, well...maybe he'll give up taking the outside line thinking he'll get past everyone, it didn't work in germany and it didn't work here...ok he was unlucky because it was nothing to do with him...but all the blame doesn't lay with de angelis.

MOTOGP » Lorenzo 'very angry' with de Angelis

Jorge Lorenzo may have survived contact during the second turn smash at Misano which eliminated Alex de Angelis, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden, but the 2009 MotoGP title contender was still 'very angry' at de Angelis for causing the accident.

Dangerous wont be racing a 800 bike anymore so there is nothing to worry about I just hope he gets well beaten by the Yamahas of Vale, Jorge and Colin.

Lorenzo is a very wise young man with lots of sensible, well thought out comments about motorcycle racing.

Hopkins was given a race suspension for that kind of idiot move. With the grid down to 17, first lap incidents that take out a significant portion of the field need to be actively discouraged. I remember a while back when WSBK was at Leguna and a wildcard US rider Yates tried to make the hole shot the hard way. Eric Bostrom was out for the season because of it. At the start of the second race Mr Pierfrancesco Chili was seen having a few words with Mr. Yates on the grid. The second race got off without a hitch.

Although it wasn't the wisest maneuver by De Angelis, the guy isn't making a lot of errors, maybe it was the pressure of no job for next year and racing at home that helped a lot this error.

I don't think that was such a big error, simply Alex didn't exit turn 1 at the best line, just too wide, and it was impossible to make turn 2 as it should. As they say "sh1t happens"

Come to think of it, didn't Hayden win the chsampionship because of an incident between Capriosi and Gibbers? The danger is serious injury to a rider from a serious mistake in judgement.

I really can't understand why everybody attacks De Angelis. Already from the moment he slammed his leg over the RCV.

In my opinion he has made a very good grow compared to 2008. Misano was his first DNF, scored a series of strong results lately and in 8th in de standings. Can anybody tell me what the reason would be for him to leave MotoGP????

He's a good rider. Not a world class rider like Rossi, Pedrosa, Stoner, Lorenzo etc. but very decent. In 2006/2007 he was the only competitor who could make a fist against Lorenzo/ Dovizioso (apart from Bautista and KTM rarely)

He's got a good point about the ones waiting for a tow during qualifying. People dawdling about while others are trying to do their fastest lap is an accident waiting to happen.
