I hope they give Pasini a ride next year,he's got the guts and personality to make a good motogp rider. He's not on quite the same spec Aprilia as the 250 championship leaders, yet he still gets onto the podium.
Team Toth are lucky to have him,and he also shows them a lot of respect too in his interviews,I hope he can get a decent ride next year.

I'm glad he's done well and impressed, it would be good to see him in motogp. Hope he is up to it, one of my favourite riders.

There were no Q tires. Q times at Mugello should compare to Pasini's:
1 99 Jorge LORENZO SPA Fiat Yamaha Team Yamaha 1'48.987
2 27 Casey STONER AUS Ducati Marlboro Team Ducati 1'49.008
3 65 Loris CAPIROSSI ITA Rizla Suzuki MotoGP Suzuki 1'49.121
13 88 Niccolo CANEPA ITA Pramac Racing Ducati 1'50.528
16 69 Nicky HAYDEN USA Ducati Marlboro Team Ducati 1'50.924
17 36 Mika KALLIO FIN Pramac Racing Ducati
1'51.008

Decent effort. I think it's a pretty close to a done deal for him at Pramac next year.

He ticks all the boxes. As far as sponsorship goes he fits the bill perfectly. Young, personable, attractive and fairly popular. He's confirmed he's quick by hitting his strides recently in 250's. And then there's the all important italian factor.

Canepa was worth a shot, he's a nice kid and as a relatively unknown quantity could have turned out to be a revelation. Unfortunately he didn't, and even Ducati know that an italian passport alone isn't enough.

I have always respected and liked Pasini since his stoic silence when the poxy Polaris World Aprillia kept on destroying itself and his title chances ...and MP took it like a man.

The times look pretty respectable - if he really could have dropped another second I think he'd have been signed right there! I hope to see him on the bike next year for real.

Yes Pasini is a very good prospect for Motogp.

The guy is very quick & would have destroyed the opposition in the 250 field this year if on a full factory bike.

Lets hope to see him in Motogp soon.

Why oh why does Ducati show such forward innovative thinking by allowing young prospects like Pasini to test ride the bike and then completely contrast this by retaining the services of perennial 800cc no hoper, Nicki Hayden??? :?

So true Livin on a Prayer, but you fail to realize the two main reasons to keep NH. One is the public relations and ad copy he presents for the USA market and two they tried to get a top level rider to replace or hedge their bets if Stoner didn't come back to form and no one wanted to go to Ducati.

If Pasini goes to Paramic then the team will be Kalio and him. As far as other teams what's left undecided at this point, Tech 3 (will probably place Spies with Edwards) has announced the second bike rider, and possibly one of the Honda satellite teams. Plus there has been some on other team coming in and the hopes that the Hayate team will use Yamahas next year.
