You can make a skilled racecrafter out of an aggressive rider more easily than you can make an aggressive rider out of a smooth clean fast but timid rider. Now, no rider that tops any class is really timid, but aggressiveness in the face of close competition is perhaps the prime requirement for eventual championship -- the idea that you don't get many chances in top level competition, so you must take action and learn to make chances or recognize them and take advantage immediately. Push, Push, Push. He'll learn to be calm and patient when needed. I think he'll do well in MotoGP. He has the heart for it. I like his riding. For a relatively big guy, he rides low on the bike like Rossi.

Lol :p his explanations are about as good as his moves :)

I think Marco could have a home here in WSBK, it suits his ragged, fairingbashing riding style. It sometimes looks as if he waits for an impossible spot to overtake instead of choosing the obvious one.
He may find it a lot nore difficult to adapt to the 800 in MotoGP where maybe a more smooth style is required.

Nevertheless a great result :)

why change your riding style just because you have changed to a different class, using others as additional braking mediu :?

Fantastic!!, what a debut, and beating the Rossi beater, Ben Spies, I can't wait for their debut in Moto gp. Spies will have a slightly better year than Toseland and if he should get a podium I will eat a pair of Bob Buttermungay's shorts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good ride for 5th in the first until the dnf. Crazy ride for 3rd in race 2, but very lucky Max allowed the pass. Great for the world superbike show. I'd love to see Rossi take a 1 ride sometime.

I don't know how his bash it in style will sit with MotoGP. I don't like his riding style at all (he is way reckless when making passes, or blocking on the straights) and don't think Dorna will put up with it in the GP class. Hope he mellows out before he causes somebody real bodily harm.

My problem is that he isn't aggressive as much as way too agressive. All racers are aggressive (it's our nature even in the novice ranks) however, he seems to take it way past safe and aggressive. Good rider, just needs to tone it down at times.

A pretty pi$$ poor attitude to have "Either we crash or 'I' pass" - can just see it next year, Edwards giving a response about an idiot rider. haha!

Bottom line, he might have binned it in race 1 but he layed it on the line in race 2. Hat's off to him!

He was only out there trying to beat biaggi and he did. Hats off to him. You can tell he was having fun out there. Again it proves how talented the GP boys are. I bet money if he qualified higher and would have won a double..
