For me, that's the only incentive he has to go to WSBK. He's already proved his ability as a double world champion. I hope he stays in MotoGP but according to MCN, him and Crutchlow are on the Yam's next year. Two wrong choices in my opinion. Cal shoulda been in Moto2 as soon as he can, WSBK ain't the way to go, and James should work his butt off to get the Pramac ride. Then again, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

No Brit in MotoGP then. Roll on Bradders, Redding and Webb.

Tech 3 Yamaha team manager Herve Poncharal has paid tribute to James Toseland after it was announced today the Briton will be replaced by Ben Spies in MotoGP next season.

I agree about the Aprilia. Here we have a MotoGP class machine with chassis adjustment etc which should suit the set up abilities of an ex GP rider, especially with a good team. Despite the technical expertise of the Tech 3 team, they never got the best from JT somehow.
Personally I can't see Spies doing any better, he and Edwards are no Rossi or Lorenzo.

I thought Pramac were after an Italian? I don't understand why James has got worse in his second year, maybe Colin's help with set-up in the first year helped him a lot and since they fell out he's a bit lost. I like the idea of James on a Hayate Yamaha but if he can't set it up it'll be a waste of time. Yamaha SBK is his best bet I suppose.

This decision makes sense. Not sure Toseland is poised for the WSBK title though. The talent is deep and many riders are hungrier than JT. He will be a podium contender, but at WC is not guaranteed.

it looks like if you wana ride in motogp or the other classes you have to be spanish or italian,look how many riders in 125,250 and moto gp are from there.only brits to get rides are in 125 and have to go to spain to do the red bull academy.theres talent out there but lack of sponsorship money to back them.its a sad day for brits not having a rider in moto gp.hope all the detractors are happy now.theres riders a lot worse in moto gp who pay their way or have big backing.

Nori Haga is winning at the moment, and JT beat him to the world title... twice... so why wouldn't he?

What a shame. Is there no way JT can stay in MotoGP? We need a Brit at that level.
He didn't seem as agressive this year for some reason. Perhaps it is the bike. I know he struggled last year with the set-up and as for using Colin's data, forget it. JT said it is so idiosyncratic as to be useless to him.
So much for loyalty- 2 tries then you're out! Is it just me or is this a bit harsh? (I know it's a tough game but still....)
