I've watched Toseland's career since he was a kid. Unlike many here, I don't pretend to know what has gone wrong for him, but I do feel he has come up far short of my expectations of him. So no, Tech 3 were right to replace him. They are not there to be a charitable organisation. I just wish him the best in WSBK, and hope he rediscovers whatever it is that he's lost.

Spies has won more races in one season than toseland did in his eniter WSBK career.

Comprehensibly destroyed by his teammate every round this year. How could they justify keeping him?

RE: Jake-"Spies has won more races in one season than toseland did in his eniter WSBK career".

Not quite but close. James has 16 wins and Ben can Theoretically tie him this season.

P.S. This poll is just asking to fan the flames here. :)

"Spies has won more races in one season than toseland did in his eniter WSBK career."

Would that have been the case if Bayliss was still in the championship this year,or would Spies have been able to do the same if he would have been riding against Bayliss last year ?? I don't think so.
I would have loved to see Toseland stay another year in GPs but not with Tech 3.He should have signed for a different team earlier in the season especially as rumours of Spies being in Moto GP next year were flying around months ago. From what everyone seems to think about Spies i'm expecting him to be a regular podium finisher next year with Tech 3 or i will be most disapointed !!

Would have "loved" Toseland to stay with Tech 3 or with another team in Moto GP...... but especially after this season, someone else deserves a chance, and that someone has to be Ben Spies (for the Tech 3 team!!)

James should have been given another chance as i do not think that we have yet seen the best from this guy.

Re Ben, well the guy might win a WSB championship, while James won it twice so cannot really understand how some can even try and compare the two ......... so lets hope that this new kid has flames coming out from his backside casue as things stand dont expect any super wonders from a sattelite team.

Danny GLF- "Ben, well the guy might win a WSB championship, while James won it twice so cannot really understand how some can even try and compare the two ........."

Ummm because he has done all this in one year in the series! It took Toseland 7 years to get those 16 wins and two titles! Thats how! If you open your eyes (and your mind) you would have read that Ben's expectation is 6th-8th place finishes. Not wins, but not trolling around in 13th place either. He's no fool and wants to learn as fast as possible. When people come on here and read what they want and skim the rest and then make ill informed statements like the one you made just puzzle me.

Absoluetly definately not, they also should not have given him the top spot in WSB, that should have gone to another proven/convincing winner eg Leon Camier who has completely dominated BSB this year. How could Yamaha have overlooked him for this looser.
The Yamaha WSB team should be Crutchlow and Camier, now that would have been a scap worth watching.
