Big **** up. No wingeing. Just the facts. You could see Rossi's back end dancing about. Of course all the non-riders, non-racers on this forum know better, especially hacks like Monty the ***** McClown. Anyway, this makes for a very tight finish. But 23 seconds back isn't the usual deal. Even Lorenzo was surprised. I race vintage jap iron and if you can't get the back wheel down properly then you're ****ed no matter what. Even on the old beaters we race, the slightest setting change can make the bike behave in a radically different manner. And by the way, you Burgess bashers, once YOU have been chief engineer to 3 world champions, you can start bashing him. Until then, shut the **** up.

No traction? Finding excuses and moaning. He needs to be chastised, just as the alleged moaner had been on the receiving end of it for so long.

stoner complains of lack of grip: he is moaning
rossi complains of lack of grip: but no one says a thing

As a human being, it was something that could happen to anybody, including Rossi and any other riders. Maybe, Lorenzo, Stoner, and Pedrosa were better yesterday than the doctor, but of course the fact would never downgrade Valentino Rossi as the current BEST RIDER IN THE WORLD. GO VALE!!, Get the championship for the 9th world title... WE ALL LOVE YOU THE DOCTOR....

You just have to look at the difference in laptimes with the frontrunners to see that Rossi was struggling. In practice he was right up there, even in warmup yet in the race he was at times 1.2 seconds per lap off the pace.
So there was clearly a problem with either the setup or tyre.

If that is a reason for some of you to write him off for the championship I would say that is a bit premature.

Go Vale!! :p :)

Usual state of affairs from the Rossi worshippers.

When he wins it's down to his supreme skill and ability.

When he looses it's a bike/set up/tyre problem.

Any chance that just for once you could acknowledge he was beaten by a better rider on the day?

Didn't think so!

Rossi can usually ride around problems and still have a go at being competitive, whereas yesterday he couldn't get close to the front three so he must have had some severe problems by his standards. Despite those problems he still finished fourth, nine seconds ahead of fifth.

The pressure's on Rossi more than Lorenzo, but hopefully he can win it. I imagine he's not looking forward to the possibility of going to Valencia to decide the championship though.
