"We've had a torrid season. It's been a disaster and it's nice to come back and be competitive again" - Casey Stoner.

Josh, suppo has always maintained that you can't beat VR without an advantage(old interveiw on motogp still in archives) it was one of the main reasons they work with BS in the first place and becuase they got all the attention from them. The change back to michelins was stimulated by the same beliefs in the hope that as sole team on them they would get maximum support and maybe an advantage. Josh you are a typical ozzy numpty a post full of confused info and half truths based on stoner love get a life and try not to take the facts as a personal insult.. I hope stoner gets hammered and you have an awful day becuase you are a pr7ck.. :)

Stoner is important to MotoGP and will continue to be a title contender for the next 5 years.

As a Stoner fan I do wish they would move off of the whole illness thing. When an illness can't be diagnosed as anything but fatigue, but the athlete is able to return to performance levels, then you have to wonder if this is a body or mind.

I think Casey is admitting that this all started back in 2008 when he clearly lost a grip on a repeat title. I want Casey to dominate and be the one to take over from Rossi, but he needs some help with his head. He's not alone. When you are so mentally strong it can easily turn on you if things change.

Stoner Matters. I don't find it too hard to believe he overtrained after he lost his consistency and direction halfway through last year. His physical appearance at the beginning of this season was a dead give away. A self imposed punishment thinking it would help him is certainly feasible and unfortunately that level of training was not sustainable. Doesn't sound overly complex to me.
A Stoner fan you say! Pull the other one. Haha.

What a laugh these shallow ignorant keyboard heroes are.
Consider that these riders have a microphone stuffed in their face and are basically told to talk about themselves daily. That would not be easy.

As for the "We" statements. These guys eat, sleep and breath the team environment, to the point it saturates their entire life, so if course they are going to default to using 'we' (that refers to team for you keyboard heroes)

The modern professional rider has to be a riding genius, PR expert, Computer Geek and fitness freak. Thats a lot of multi tasking. The only multitasking skills these keyboard heroes appear to have is the ability to type while whacking themselves off at the same time.

Bob,

Mental stress can lead to a lot of physical conditions and symptons.

As for being a fan... Not all fans have blind spots. I'd like to see all the negative comments go away, and am sharing a point of view that could help Stoner. Sounds like a fan to me. You don't have to agree, and this probably doesn't make sense to you.

All good.

DeAngelis, on his satellite honda, lead warm up with a 1:30.8 ahead of Rossi and Stoner. He wants a job next year. Just mentioning this to illustrate (like Burgess once said) the equation is 80% rider and 20% bike. Discuss.
