I really mean it, Hayden screwed up the 2009 championship but good. And to remember Hayden's reaction to DeAngelis! Wow. Nicky ought to hand in his helmet, leathers, and boots after this screw up. Basically, he's wrecked the remainder of the season as Rossi only needs a total of thirteen points to lock up the championship. Perhaps I ought to end with this piece of advice for Nicky. Nicky, just don't take out Rossi at Malaysia next week to tighten up the championship. You've done enough already this season.

Well the way I saw it, maybe I'm wrong is Lorenzo got a bad start but generally his acceleration was better after a not so good start, so Hayden got the pass and naturally had to cross Lorenzo to start into the turn. I think Lorenzo was accelerating as Hayden passed and continued as Hayden was still to his left side, Kalio came up the right so Lorenzo had few options, then Hayden cut in front of Lorenzo who was already sliding into that gap, so Lorenzo slams on the breaks and cant scrub off enough speed, recovers by letting off the breaks, but that ends up screwing up the turn.

The only way to have avoided that was completely give up the scrap even though there was a gap until NH close it.

So not reeeeeeeeeeeally Haydens fault, but the way I see it, Hayden is not at all in contention and carries slower corner speed than most, hence why I kinda see it like a block pass. To pass then slow up on the guy you just passed who you have to know is much faster than you...Hayden was just fortunate to move up on a crap starting Lorenzo. Just racing I suppose, but Hayden of all people knows about how critical it can be when it's down to 12 points in the WC. He could have said to himself when Pedrosa got all excited to pass him "well hey its just racing but he didnt, he blew up on his over zealous rookie team mate who was "just racing and screwed up".

But I am a JLo fan so I cud be bias

Nicky screwed it up by getting in the way. He had no business placing himself in the way of the only rider who was still a realistic challenger for Rossi in 2009. Think about Hayden's reaction to Pedrosa in 2006. Hayden's efforts today were even more unforgiving. He's wrecked Lorenzo's chances to fight for the championship (and our fun watching him Lorenzo it) to accomplish what (perhaps rising from 14th place to 13th in the championship)? Until this incident, I never really saw Nicky for what he is, a token whose time has come and gone. I don't see how that Lorenzo can ever forgive Nicky. I know that I won't (and I want Rossi to win the 2009 championship - but not with Nicky's help.

Haydens fault? Rubbish.

In that situation the 'law' of racing is exactly the same as driving a car on the road. YOU are responsible if you hit someone up the ass.

I sorta see where the wishful thinkers are coming from. Hayden did sorta check up, or at at least enter turn 1 slower than Jorge was expecting, but unless it's extreme like a seized engine lockup the onus is 100% on the rider following to look out for themselves. I guarantee when we hear from Jorge, he himself will say it was ultimately his mistake.

@ pablo.

So, in your logic, everybody else should just move aside to let these 4 aliens pass?

Remember, Hayden has something to prove himself.

@pablo, alaywa

Wow, I really can't beleive you would blame hayden for that.

First of all, every rider is riding for themselves, if any rider gave way to the championship contenders they should be sacked. If they are not in the fight, the championship is not their concern and they should ride as hard and fast as they can as they normally would.

Second, Lorenzo MOVED LEFT into the rear of Hayden. Hayden was holding his line, AHEAD of Lorenzo and had not began to turn right when they touched. It was all Lorenzo's fault. How you can compare Hayden to DeAngelis is beyond me, in that crash Lorenzo was to blame, although was nothing like as bad as DeAngelis.
