If he is the all conquering goatman then why would he even have to take a cautious approach? His "mistakes" show that he can actually be forced into crashing out. Horhay & co are indeed getting into his head now.

Oh dear ... I thought Valentino always raced for the win, no matter what.

His comments are a nice little way of making whoever beats him look like they didn't deserve it.

My suggestion: Just give him the WC now and he can sit the next two races out. Then we can watch some riders who we know are trying 100%.

so your saying that if YOU were in his shoes you would be going hell for leather? . . . .don't be silly guys, funny how everyone has a go at him for the slightest thing, like coming 4th recently, its all ooh has rossi lost it. . . if a bad day is 4th then the rest of the riders need sacking. .

@dazzo, for my part, just having a bit of fun. people around here launch into stoner's comments for negatives whenever he says anything - why should rossi be treated any different?

rossi is usually very careful and diplomatic and thinks about the good of the sport when he makes his comments. whatever his plan, what he has told us now is that he'll button off during the next two races, which makes them something of a disappointment as far as spectacle is concerned.

he should have stuck with his usual 'for sure it will be great battle' line.

I agree with Waz give the goat the w c,then will see the goat hand everyone there #sses.With nothing to lose vale would put on a clinic.

vale is talking sense here..tat comz frm experience..he needs the championship..thatz priority..he need not make any silly mistake like what lorenzo did last week..vale is not the one to back off from a battle..he will give them a fight for the money from the word go..but like philip island..wont give his 100% as thats not neccessary at this point..he just needs a 50point lead..

Rossi haters again show their ugly side. Rossi knows from past championships and even an earlier 50 pt advantage this year that nothing is guaranteed so being cautious at this point only makes sense. However if the conditions present themselves he'll push as much as needed without risking the possibility of wrapping up the championship. Then he can have fun in the last race without any worries.

If like the haters say..rossi goz for the win at sepang..and for some stupid reason somthing goz wrong..and dents his WC title hopz..then all of the haters will come back again trying to crucify him and that he has lost it..so let vale win the WC...then once he shuts the critics and the haters..he will show how the doc really does his operations

Actually Rossi only needs a 26 pt advantage after Sepang to wrap up the championship. They've noted 4th place to assure he wins the championship. So I guess that 4th gives around 12-15 pts.
