Great race for Lorenzo in what has been a great year for the Spaniard.
Without the falls he would have been right up there.
Same goes for his 2008 season come to think of it, only this year he didn't have the injuries. I'm sure that once he has this under control he will be a real killer, especially because he seems to be (mentally) unbreakable.

There was nothing he could do to stop Rossi from winning the Championship, but I'm sure he could have made it to the podium had not had such bad luck before the start.

Great race, Jorge, give'em hell in Valencia.

What on the earth he and his team thought he can do two sighting laps? I hope gets good team manager next year.

Yeah Lorenzo had a good season. He just needs to be able to handle to pressure a bit better. He is a good rider, but im not sure he's good enough to challenge The Doctor seriously....

He's had a good year, better than 2008. And if he can continue the progress and reduce the number of mistakes next year, then I can see him pushing Rossi even harder.

Furusawa said “Valentino is a very, very important rider for Yamaha, and also Jorge is, but especially Valentino...My goal in MotoGP is winning with Valentino,” He is one of the Rossi's fanboy although he is in the very important position in the team. If the technical director of the team said his goal is winning with Rossi so frankly, I do not think any title contender wants to stay there. I think Lorenzo moves to Honda from 2011.

moto - Rossi did 2 sighting laps, Lorenzo was trying to do 2 as well but took too long. I'm not sure if Rossi is the only one to do 2 of them, maybe others did too. I'm not sure how it works, I guess it is because it had been raining so they gave them extra time or something.

Next year it will be crunchtime at Yamaha, either Rossi leaves or Lorenzo.
In either case they will have Ben Spies standing in the wings.
What a luxury!
My personal believe is that they should try to hold on to Valentino as long as possible, he is a huge publicity generator for their company, their best performing rider ever and it eould be foolish to let him go.

Catch22 for Yamaha.

Lorenzo on board will risk Rossi being dissatisfied.

Let Lorenzo go and they will have tough opponent. And there's no successor when Rossi retires.

Call me crazy but, I have a "feeling" that Rossi may try to get out of his contract early and leave Yamaha BEFORE next year.
