Too bad Takahashi got drummed out so quickly - he and Kallio could have had a competition to see how many more experienced riders they could have crashed into.

The Morgue

It is not media hype. There tough names on the list. Kallio has got two times rookie of the year title. I think it tells something. Are you jealous? :-o

I think Mika will be ok in MotoGP but let's be honest - he's currently 15th in the championship. His rookie year can't be compared to Pedrosa or Lorenzo or Hayden who finished in the top 5 while on factory kit but beating Canepa and Talmasci (both not only are not that impressive but have also missed races) isn't anything to write home about. He isn't in front of anyone else in the title that's a full time rider rookie or not. Maybe Takahashi would have given him a decent fight and A. Espargaro may have beaten him in rookie of the year honors if he had a full year.

It's basically default last when you look at Canepa and Talma. Which shows just how poor the influx of new talent into motogp was last year, due to a lack of machines if you ask me.
Poor show Dorna... Try some stability to the regulations it will work wonders..

Mika has done good in his first season in the top class on a bike which is the hardest to ride and taking Casey's place when he was off recovering in all IMO he deserves that title.

Remember when RotY was between Hayden (AMA Champ), Bayliss (WSBK Champ) and Edwards (WSBK Champ). Now it's between a Finn who has never won a championship and a test rider. Both riders should never be in the premier class.
