Dani is a fading star, last chance next year at honda. J-Lo will be in there with a big dollar move. 2 wins a year wont cut it im afraid.

Never been a "real champ" for me. Has kg advantage, rotten attitude towards fellow riders (was best seen in 250 and 125), average riding skills, has been blessed with good machinery and great support from factory. SoP. (son-of-puig)

Dani is a great rider no question. I just think that he is finding the limitations of his stature to be too much to overcome now. Just watch Stoner wrestling the Ducati around at PI. The physical strength and stamina to do so requires a certain amount of muscle mass. His weight advantage is huge from an acceleration, braking,and aerodynamic standpoint but he is just not physically able to throw the bike around like some of his normal sized competitors over race distance. He seems to fare best on flowing tracks without the hard transitions like Estoril. I predict his normal hole shot tomorrow only to be overhauled by Stoner and Lorenzo in short order.

I do not think Dani is a fading star, he is there in the top four and will be for some time. If and when honda get this bike to turn then you will see him fight for a WC.

Dovi needs to go his results are worse than when he was on Satt bike.
Next year they need one of the Marco's or The Ben to be 2nd rider.
Can anybody tell me why Honda won't put Melandri on factory team ??? He has proven speed. HRC keeps looking for a new fast guy when it seems one is right under their nose

racer-x he was supposed to be on a hrc bike at gressini as elias is now. when he complained hrc obviously marked his card. I hate honda,and all they stand for. telling rossi he was only winning because he was on a honda. what a load of bollox. :rolleyes:

It makes complete nonsense to say that Pedrosa is a fading star or that he is better or worse than rider X or Y, since the only way to compare riders is to have them ride on the same machinery. He's beaten Hayden and Dovizioso fair and square, he's beaten Stoner on Honda machinery (of course Stoner was on a satellite bike and crashed a hell of a lot that season and he's improved since then, so that's not a fair comparison) and he has dominated the 250cc class. Also don't forget that Burgess loss to Yamaha has not been trivial for Honda. These are facts, and time will tell if he'll be champion or not, but all the negative comments above are just hateful personal opinions.

@Jack
In adition DP outperformed CS and JL in all the lower classes. Hopefully HRC is suffering the worst quake I can recall :signing 3 software technicians from Yamaha, Livio Suppo to tackle the rudder(Puig has wellcomed his arrival to deal with their demands with technical staff etc.
So I feel reasonable optimistic that things at HRC will change to better.javascript:insertTextCursor('comment',%20':)')

Honda stated, the reason Rossi won so much, was because their bike was so much better. Not only was it an insult to Rossi, also to Burgess as chief engineer. Both went to Yamaha and turned it into a winning bike. Something no one else could do. It took Honda 4 years to equal Rossi s win tally in his first Yamaha year. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
