MOTOGP » Ben Spies up to ninth after 'another good day'

Ben Spies stands an excellent chance of beating his best dry MotoGP performance - an eighth place for Rizla Suzuki in last year’s US Grand Prix - after qualifying an impressive ninth on his Yamaha MotoGP debut at Valencia.

He qualified better than I thought he would.

Smart guy...He already is saying the start of the race could pose a problem.

That and not coming to terms with the tyres.

Should be a good race with guys still fighting it out for final positions in the standings.

Pedrosa and Lorenzo should be at their best and of course you cannot rule of Rossi for the win.

My money is on Casey Stoner...He is just going too good right now.

Good luck to all the racers for tomorrows race.

Hoping for a little more luck for guys from Texas.

:)

Nice job Ben :) ... Calm, cool, collected and methodical.
I can't help but be amused by those who think they have a handle on the 2010 season already. I can guarantee you that NONE of the riders are making the same predictions. They live their professional lives in the midst of the variable so many race fans seem to overlook.

@ El Bigonio

Man I hope you are right...Maybe only one or two riders that will not be looking foward to 990's.

Now guys will try to get stronger instead of lighter.

Should make for much better racing.

Do you have a source for the info ???

The M1 is such a great bike. Ducati riders are struggling to get to grips with their POS after a year, Spies needed just 3 hours to be faster than the satelite ducatis.
