MOTOGP » Ben Spies up to ninth after 'another good day'

Ben Spies stands an excellent chance of beating his best dry MotoGP performance - an eighth place for Rizla Suzuki in last year’s US Grand Prix - after qualifying an impressive ninth on his Yamaha MotoGP debut at Valencia.

It will be exciting to see Spies development over the next season, I feel he will adapt quickly to MotoGP
Someone who has rarely been mentioned is Simoncelli, I think he has the potential to be the 5th alien.

I think Simoncelli will probably perform a lot like Lorenzo in his first season. Fast but some big crashes. Will he learn and mature from them like Lorenzo has or will he wind up with more metal parts than the Terminator or Gary McCoy...

I know this is off the subject, but where is the info on the supposed 1000cc engines for 2012?

Is this real or speculation/dreaming?

If it's real, can anyone direct me to the site for more details

I think that the real first impression of Ben will come at the end of the second day of testing.

Thanks "Slammy"

I think we should be saying 'proposed 1000cc engines in 2012' after reading that article!

I hope it all comes together, IMO they should have 1000cc limit, a rev limit of 18,000 rpm, unlimited fuel and cylinders (this would end up being self regulating, as more cylinders needs more fuel) and a max rear rim width of 6 inches
