As soon as I saw Smithy charging around to catch up on the parade lap, I knew he'd make a lightning start, with hotter tyres and brakes than anyone else. I couldn't believe the Eurosport commentators, who are regularly praised on this site but concentrate on banter rather than spotting what's going on, didn't pick up on that. They also actually missed that Bradley had shot off into the lead until half way around the lap. Hopefully Bradley can keep up the good form and the be favourite for the title next year.

Well Done Bradley

Great stuff this year and I just watch your BBC interview and you just riped the BBC in the best way possible 10 out 10 buy saying BBC need to more coverage on 125cc. Sorry but they can't even get MotoGp right so they VERY LITTLE chances of more 125cc coverage but I hope BBC put the finger out in 2010 but I won't hold my hopes up.

One of the best final laps of the year - pity the TV coverage did its best to ruin it by concentrating on lone third place man Espargaro.

Simon started the year on top and he's ending it the same way, but the gap between himself and Smith is growing ever smaller. He'd actually settled for second in the race until Bradley's off track excursion. Interesting to note in the later BBC interview that Smith was wishing for more races this year, such is his confidence now. 2010 could be a good year for him.

VRob - agreed regarding the tv coverage, if there's a battle for the lead then that should take priority over others, if there isn't then the cameras should be on the next highest battle and so on.

This isn't the first time a tv race director has been a complete numpty and turned the cameras away from the action - why must we see reactions and faces of people in the pit lane when there are bikes on the track or watch a lone race victor when there is racing going on behind him?

ehhh bradley amazing ride but still some experience missing... he clearly could win if instead going to look for the best line he would have closed that corner tighter... but nothing else to say! good rider

Well done to Brad, another great race, a great end to the season. Simon was just to quick and experienced. He will start favorite next year now he has decided to stay in 125cc with Aspar, hope he can live up to it, I am sure he can. Best hope we have for MotoGP in the future.

Smith's end of season consistency bodes really well for next year.

Just one thing though Bradley, are you also sponsored by Fiat? I counted nine gratuitous plugs for the Uno in your post race interview. :)
