Great ride by Pedrosa, a bit boring at the front but plenty of action midfield. To see Spies gaining ground and (helping) Edwards securing 5th overall was great fun :)

A flying start for Team Texas!! :p :)

Honda is throwing a lot of money away to get (only) two first place finishes per season. Adding Suppo to the Puig and Pedrosa equation won't help. The new Yam techs probably cost a bundle, but they're efforts will be muted by Suppo and Puig.

Awesome storming run from Pedrosa, he looked like he would have been fully capable of running down Stoner if the red boy hadn't binned it. It was clear that Rossi and Lorenzo had their hands full with each other so no one can say they had buttoned off and let Pedrosa run away with it.

Looking forward to next season and the usual balanced debate on Crash, lol!

@Morgue, Spies climbed the learning curve pretty quick eh? You could see him gaining confidence until he was ready to shove past Dovi. I don't buy any of that stuff about him having a 'fresh bike/fresh engine' - it was a borrowed practice/test bike so would have similar engine power settings and set-up to the race bikes. There is no point practising on a bike with 5-10HP more than your race bike.Even if it did have a bit more poke he still had to wrangle it with almost no prior experience.

I was really really impressed with Spies, he played it well by under-promising and over-delivering. SBK to MotoGP is a hoodoo but I think Spies is going to give plenty of people a reason to smile in 2010.

After 4 seasons in MotoGP, all with Repsol Honda, Nicky Hayden was world champion. After 4 seasons in MotoGP, all with Repsol Honda, Dani Pedrosa isn't.

Who'd have thought that going into the Valencia finale in 2006?

Good point Oli and im sure that fact makes plenty of people angry around here, I have to admit i was not a fan of dani's at first but im coming around. However, he will never win a championship and Nicky did......
