That second gap is deceiving. Single best lap time isn't always an indicator of who is fastest. Spies likes to run on worn tires in practice. That's why he is always so strong at the end of a race (even the GP he just ran.) If he set that time on worn tires and the others set theirs on new or stickier rubber, there may not be much of a difference at all.

I hope he carries it through into next season.
It will put pressure on Lorenzo and Rossi and maybe hasten the laters departure to Ducati, which will be a good thing for the sport

So Colin was sick. And those with inside knowledge of him out of engines so much BS. Spies is a determined guy and however things turn out he will be giving everything he has. It will be interesting.

Well done Big Ben! To think that as of last Friday you just got on a Yam MotoGP bike and were running in 15th place. Now to get up to 4th quickest with much more to learn, outstanding! Way to do the Texas Two Step!

P.S. Please bring back the Sterlingarda bike - those Tech 3 colors just don't go with your RWB helmet! I wonder what they did with the three proto's they said they were flying over for last weekend's races...
