the limited testing rule is stupid, the rookies, guys who switch mfg and the teams who underperformed last year should get extra test time if Dorma wants field to be more competitive.

Nobuatsu? I thought he was pensioned off long ago. I recall the extra practice session allowed at the return to Leguna though Nicky remarked he never got extra time on the tracks that were new to him . Guess Dorna wants it's hatchings to show to best advantage especially as a WBSK rider is playing cat among the pigeons.

I hope Ben Spies is NOT being included also in this extra test?

He's already done 4 race distances in MotoGP. :-o

British GP '08
Laguna Seca '08
Indianapolis '08
Valencia '09
(Also tested Indy '08 and tis week in '09).

The other 2010 rookies have had just one test.

Elbowz is obvious an Alien and is a brilliant rider, but remember he's done 4 full races distances, and each time completed 2.5hrs preparation before that race distance also.

Please let the real rookies have more testing, Ben doesn't need it or should have it.

If you want special rules in place for him because of his previous appearances the same special rules could have been afforded him with factory equipment...which weren't when they made the rookie clarification.

If the test opens for all riders new to the series for 2010 he should be included accordingly.

@ Chief Examination Officer,

If we are to use your logic as to what's fair I believe Ben should get a private test at all of the track he hasn't been to before.

The 250 rookies have raced at all the tracks so that's an unfair advantage!

These ad hoc rule changes to benefit certain parties while others are excluded are a feature of the FIM it seems and diminish its credibility. But don't look for it to change. :?
