I would say Rossi was faster on 990s than the current 800s.

Also, it's obvious that Stoner and Lorenzo are faster than Rossi. Just not as consistent. Especially when it REALLY counts.

Until that changes, Rossi will be the favorite to win WCs.

Being a Stoner fan, I would say his biggest disadvantage is set-up. He needs a perfect set-up to ride very very fast. On the other hand, Rossi can ride around most things and still be fast. Once Stoner learns that I think he will be almost unbeatable. Sometimes, I think the Duc has a little bit (like 10-25%) to do with set-up woes.

I don't get this stoner and Lorenzo are quicker than Rossi myth??? Rossi won the beemer so he's clearly been fastest the most times on qualifying. He's won the most races and when Crash put up the stats for the year with about 3 or 4 races to go Rossi was top of that also. I think that when Rossi is fastest he wins comfortably but the difference is he can still win races when he's not the fastest.

My source in Ducati says that next season they will use new grid strategy called "not to crash before the race". Stoner is very excited about it and is wondering how the new strategy works.

Rossi is in for a big, big fight next year.

Stoner will stomp him along with many others.

Rossi is legend and a true class act. If he can pull it off in 2010, I would not be surprised.

yes yes Casey has won one more race than Rossi on 800ss. But when you look at it, Stoner won more races in 2007 than he has in the last two put together and in the last two Rossi has won the most races both times. As with everything to prove Caseys greatness it all relies on his 2007 results and I suspect always will.
