Looks like whoever was in charge of designing the 2009 bike did a poor job for Dovi. Hope he gets the chance to shine next year, I like him and he is good for the series. As to Team Honda, win or be replaced.

I figured Dovi to place 5th last year behind the top 4 but Edwards had other plans. Next year I still don't see him breaking into the top 4. His problem is that Edwards didn't retire this year and Spies has already shown that he can beat him and will also be in the mix for "best of the rest". Looking at the results of the last race and test, I wouldn't be surprised if Kallio or Nicky found their way in a fight with Dovi.

mmmmm...stating the obvious there dovi.

Should have been so much closer to pedrosa considering pedrosa started the season so beaten up. Next year is important one now if he doesnt do well he will be out on his ear. Honda wasted too many years on Pedrosa.
So much potential considering his perforamce in his rookie year but a bit of a downturn this year. Needs to stop complaining about what he doesnt have and work hard with what he does have. They got rid of Pete Benson so he better do well next year!!

Tip for Dovi: Would help if you could qualify better. :)

Repsol Honda won't put up with that again Dovi needs to deliver or else he may be shipped out of Repsol Honda and Stoner could end up taking his ride in 2011.

getting rid of Pete Benson was wromng IMO he is one of the best crew chiefs in MotoGP.

Honda need new riders.

none of them are championship material ...

fortunatley theres a storm brewing at yamaha and by the end of next year i think theres a good chance that Honda will get a Yamaha man, either lorenzo or Spies (if Rossi doesnt go to Ducati or F1)

but i would expect Honda to build an awesome bike very soon seeing as after all ...motogp is Honda's sport

That pass Spies threw on Dovi was damming as
Spies was clearly just feeling the new bike out. HRC has backed themselves into a corner now and forget the championship. Yes Pedrobot is quick on a good day, but it's not enough to beat Casey or Jorge on their so-so days let alone Valentino.

Dovi is a decent rider and better than Hayden obviously but not better than Pedrosa. But he's right about the lack of tests. The lack of tests will impact the weaker riders and teams moreso than the teams with sorted bikes. As mentioned by others 2011 will be an interesting year obviously with potential moves by Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa and with further changes in the format. If the change to production 1000cc engines happens the whole series will be tossed on its head.

While on the subject of 2011 imagine Rossi returns to Honda and Pedrosa going to Honda or Ducati. That switch would be interesting even though most would probably want to see Rossi going to Ducati. However it's more likely that Yamaha will keep Rossi and let Lorenzo go especially if Spies has a decent season which he probably will. Lorenzo is too chicken to go to Ducati so he'd probably end up with Honda where he'd have epic fights with Pedrosa.
