Am l missing the point here? Why give him a run out on a bike thats no longer in racing? Biggest mistake ever was to scrap the 250's. For me there is now no progressive stepping stones up to moto gp class. 125's and moto'gp2 bikes are poles apart in all aspects,

You have ridden both then?
Its all about the Chassis, sooo many people came out with the crap "SBK will rule 4t Motogp" like that happened. The 125 has many chassis settings, so will the Moto2, this is where the time is made and this is where street bike riders struggle.
Mind the Aprilia RSV4 is more Motogp bike than the entire field.

For fun! All racers are kids at heart who love going fast on anything that moves! Just look at Rossi's recent exploits.

A great way for Aspar to reward him for a stellar season, I'm sure he had a blast!

I've got to agree- this reward sucks.
Bradley has no doubt ridden 250's before- I know for a fact he did a track day last year at Cartagena on a 600 and I'm sure he's played with other bikes.

It'd be different if he was given a test of the new Moto 2 bike- at least that'd show they respect his thoughts and opinions as a development rider, and trust him the new toy.

But an outing on a now defunct 250?
" Here Bradley, knock yourself out on this. We're retiring this bike as we've got nowhere to race it so we thought you may as well have a go on it first..."

Bradley Smith is worth more than that!!!

Lets not read anything into this.It was purely a bit of after season fun.And by the look of that photo,Smiffy was having a good laugh!
People get a bit too serious on here sometimes, chill out. :)

I've been told by an ex 250 GP rider that these thingies are the ultimate, I think that the quote was 100kg + 100bhp - perfect. Brad would have thought that might be worth a go. Who wouldn't?
