MotoGP » Yamaha boss 'worried' Ferrari will lure Rossi to F1

Valentino Rossi's Yamaha team manager Davide Brivio reveals his concern that far from losing the record-breaking MotoGP legend to arch-rival Ducati in 2011, he could actually be more in danger of losing him to Ferrari and F1

Why would he be worried...would solve the headache problem with Lorenzo & Rossi as I doubt they would push Rossi aside and if he went to F1 it would neatly solve that problem.

It won't happen though. Just some spin by Bernie.

"Ive also had an offer from Ducati. It will all be clear in a few months."

Hi RawDawg....seems like Ducati is willing to invite VR to their party already. Words from Rossi's own mouth.

RawDawg own words recently.."Do you actually think a company would design a bike in hopes that someone WHO DOESN'T EVEN RIDE FOR THEM AND IS THEIR MAIN COMPETITION would agree with it. That's absolutely preposterous."

This is all a smokescreen - Brivio wants rid of Rossi and is encouraging Ferrari to take him off his hands....

...He and half the paddock knows that 2011 will be the year of Spies at the Factory team - a man who makes Rossi look like Alex Hoffman.

Spies will destroy them all at Tech Trois next year - after all, he was riding with Dorna approved sleeved R1 engine mounted in a lead frame with M1 body kit at Valencia just as a cover for his true genius.

Did I ever say that Ducati wouldn't take or didn't want Rossi? No.

I completely stand by what I said - Ducati designed a bike to win THIS YEAR with CURRENT RIDERS. I doubt the desginers and engineers were sitting there saying "hmmm, I wonder what Rossi would like...."

A bike can only be design with feedback from riders who have actually ridden the damn thing! So how can a bike be desgined for someone who doesn't ride it?

@Spies Fan Returns

WTF are you smokin man? Spies makes Rossi look like Hoffman??? Rossi is the GOAT. If you believe Spies wasn't riding an actual M1, you must be one deluded individual.

Brivio is just being cute. It's a nice way to dodge the questions about Ducati, who are his biggest threat. He is asked a question about Ducati but gives an answer about Ferrari - owned by Fiat, his sponsors. You can tell Brivio doesn't want to talk about Valentino going to the other red brand with two wheels instead of four.

In short: a throwaway line from Brivio to dodge a question and everyone falls for it. If I was managing Brivio's PR it's exactly what I would have told him to say.
