Hopkins needs to get out there and prove he can ride like he did in 2007. A lot of people are wondering if he's still got it after that horrendous crash in 2008 that dislocated his hip--an injury that can affect riders for a long time. On paper, at least, I think he'll kick @$$.

Seems very stupid to me - he must know something we don't? talented ride but he seems incrediably prone to bad decisons..... would have luved to see him back in Motogp.

his days are over in gp fella's... i mean come on.. ride the FB bike.. that will not be competitive .. he should shine and start winning in DMG . at least he'll have some fun and not be a back marker like on the suzuki..

Sometimes a man has got to know when to say when and know his limitations. John,at least, is now realizing that he doesn't have what it takes to be in the big league. He can just live out the rest of his road-racing career in a not-so-competitive arena.

Hopkins is still young though so i don't see a reason why he can't get back in GP's if he can regain his old form. He never slowed down he just had bad injuries. Good look hopper

From 4th in motogp to riding a privateer ama bike.....how talk about a fall from grace, what the F happened to this guys career? in the matter of a year and a half hes with the nohopers, i can only pray he gets it together and miraculously heads back to motogp in time for the 1000cc switch, he was one heck of a dynamic rider on the 990 sozook didnt have the best results but looked good on the bike backing it in sliding it etc he is better than ama for sure.
Good luck dude i just pray your injuries havent got the better of you......time will tell i fear that the fat lady has begun singing ol hopper......i will miss those mental wheelies of yours !
