MotoGP » Stoner can beat 'the greatest' in 2010, says Parrish

Ben and Marco are rookies, we can expect they can challenge the big 4, they probably will challenge them in 2011. I think Stoner can beat Rossi but Rossi is a little bit more favourite at this time.

Rossi will be the favourite to win but it wont be easy as Lorenzo and Stoner will push him all the way. Yamaha has the best bike in the paddock but I think Ducati will be the main challenger if Nicky can get a good start then maybe he could help his team-mate he must deliver otherwise it will bye bye for him at the factory Ducati if he gets beaten by the satelite Tech 3 machines of Edwards and Spies. Agree that in 2011 could see new challengers in the name of Marco and Ben on the other hand I hope Spies gets the factory ride in 2011.

I said it once and I'll say it again, CONSISTENCY throughout 2010 by team, machine and rider will take it.
Another great blessing Valentino has, is an undeniable history of not being crash or injury prone.
Casey, Dani and Jorge are probably painfully aware of this fact. Valentino has a lot of 'common sense' and knows how to apply it in front of the camera's and on the bike.
I do believe that the satellite riders are going to capitilize big time this year. It's looking like a tough one and a great one.
Hey, Dorna, if 800cc works great this year.... PLEASE DON'T FIX IT FOR 2012 !!!!! Save a buck or two.

Ben is not a rookie anymore, he had some time on the 800 and rode three races, I think watching his progress that he could become the next alien.
He's massively talented and learns faster than anyone out there.
Simocelli seems to struggle a bit in adapting to the fourstroke 800,
though his stint on the WSBK Aprilia was impressive.
But WSBK is not MotoGP, as many have learned. So we will see :)

Parrish does have a point.

Val is the greatest of this generation, but how longer can he keep it going?

The longer you race without failure or injury the more the odds stack up against you. The chance of one or the other increases. He has never been seriously hurt and has remain very consistent and at the top.

But eventually time , other competitors, and the risk factor come into play.
