Not bad. Top 9 within 1 second. I think it would a bit faster if they use Suzuki engine. Since Suzuki had better corner speed, it may give better race similar to 250cc 2-stroke.

Does anyone know what tyres they were using? ...if this is the homologated race tyre for this year, then these guys will really struggle to lap faster than the 125's

@Monster, i guess they all use dunlop race tyres.
Difference of laptimes comparing to 125 is small. Some slower moto2 riders still behind Marquez and other guys in front, shameful?

A second day in the top 3 for Yonny Hernandez. This young Colombian looks like real Star Material, checkout his career trajectory, he could well be the next Alien in MOTOGP if he carries on like this.

Most impressed with noyes, cluzel and corti.

With people like De-angelis, elias, simon, cluzel and corti at the front... gonna be amazing..

Talent pool is huge! Cluzel for WC imho, great last year on dog of a 250, will surprise everyone.

Does anyone know if Westy will actually be racing in moto2 this year with the MZ team? I thought he was just doing endurance races, but he appears to be putting in a lot of testing for a team that isn't on the official entry list (although must be a minor one with just one bike). Not a bad result for him just behind Pasini and on another 'also ran' bike.

Julian Simon of the Mapfre Aspar team of 1'37.156 moto2 at Valencia
Cal Crutchlow last year's World Supersport race at Valencia. 1m 35.865s , is there something wrong with these bikes. Would it not have been better to let the series use road based engines from all manufactures, because its obvious they are not competitive
