Yes, it's too early to make any type of judgements, but I believe this rookie is going to give us exceptional excitement this year...again. They call the fastest guys aliens, but this one is called the 'Astronaut'. He is coming and getting there fast. Ben is a rider we haven't seen in a long time. This guy gets on a new bike, track, team and starts playing head games with the best riders...normally it doesn't work this way. Just like WSBK, he puts out his best times at the end...sand bagging? Thank you Ben for bringing back MotoGP :) BRING THE SEASON ON!!!

Sometimes a rookie can do well during the pre-season test but wound up last on the actual scoreboard at the end of the season. I'm begining to sense that Spies might fall under this category. I hope not but one might never know. Good luck Mr. Spies.

Half a second off Rossi on a satellite bike tjh

Based on his performance in AMA and especially WSBK last year I have no reason to doubt that Spies will delivery this year and put in an excellent performance.

@R1Fan sorry to disagree, though but this guy dont get panic right away. I saw this guy race against Mladin racing with him around the circuit, then Haga, Biaggi, Fabrizioso. but he never breaks. his calm, and very focus during the race.

in WSBK, when the time his chasing championship points he was able to make it. and when the time he needs to stay on top he did it, thats why he won the title. hes been hoping for a motogp ride for years and i am sure he is more than ready to face what lies ahead of him in MOTOGP.

Good luck Mr. Spies.
