Toni Elías has been hit by an early blow in his bid to become the inaugural Moto2 World Champion in 2010, with double surgery having been required to repair the hand and ankle injuries the Gresini star sustained in his testing fall at Jerez two days ago

No it doesn't matter who it was because it's done. But isn't that part of "reporting"? How many MotoGP incidents have you seen where both riders were not named? It just seems the articles I've seen on Toni's accident go out of the way to not disclose who it was.

Couldn't help thinking of Barry Sheene, one of his accidents was due to a slower rider of less ability being there at that time. Good luck Toni for a swift recovery, and hope you have a good season and get back into MotoGP asap.

GReat guy, met him twice at the US Indy GP. Tries his best despite his limited English to converse with the fans, although I think his PR people were pushing him to be everywhere to win fans so that the could get/keep his moto gp ride. He should be in Moto, not Moto2. I hope he heels quick and dominates.

why is it that footballers especially, fall down like they were shot and bike racers on many occasions can race just a week or two after surgery, just proves who the real men are.
